>>> DOES THE JOB
> I've used several dozen of these SD cards, and they have never had any problem.> I especially appreciate the very compact little cases, which I use to hold unused SD-cards --- or SD-cards which I've retired. The "retired" SD cards (properly labeled) are my ultimate back-up, and are stored in my safe-deposit-box --- which means that I can be very choosy about the memory-gobbling image files on my computer. Even being choosy, I have nearly a terrabyte of image files.> However, several years ago, I found that if I "edit in the camera" alot and delete photos as I go, that write times can be slow (less than instantaneous). It's worse on large cards --- so I formerly used 16G cards, until there was no price difference between 16G and 32G cards.> The solution is simple. I now use the SD cards the same way I used film in film cameras years ago. One-time write. Spares always available in my camera bag. I never delete even awful accidental photos. The SD cards are cheap enough to use a fresh one for every vacation or project. Maybe I only use 9 or 10G per card --- it isn't a waste. It's insurance against loosing photos in a lost camera, loosing SD cards, failure of an SD card (albeit it has been 10 years since that has happened), and being able to conveniently use the retired SD cards as backups.> How do you loose an SD card? Happens. A few years ago, my wife dropped her camera, the card door opened and the (spring-loaded) SD card ejected itself into the bushes. That was a nearly full SD card near the end of a vacation in Yellowstone. We never found the card. Also, the fewer images you have on an SD card, the fewer images you can loose on that SD card. Filling up a 32G SD card over 5 years, over many vacations, is just too tempting to the gods of fate.
