BMW Genuine 82292344033 Key Case - Black

It's rather thick, roughly doubling the thickness of your key fob in your pocket, but if you're looking for something to prevent accidental button pressing, it's very effective. The quality it high, and it looks good.

This key fob case accomplishes what I had hoped. It keeps me from inadvertently opening up the hatch or windows or setting off the alarm in my BMW when I am sitting with the key fob in my pocket. Despite Amazon and other sources reporting to the contrary, it fits my 2021 X3 BMW key fob perfectly. It seems to be well-made and attractive; however, it adds a non-trivial amount of thickness to the fob. It is also a bit of a pain to assemble because you have to screw in a bolt with very fine thread by feel (rather than visually) since your view is obscured by the fob. Nevertheless, I definitely think it is worth the trade-offs.

Bought as a gift for my mom who drives a BMW for mother's day. This protects her key and also allows her to attach extra keys and charms without scratching up the key! This is MUCH more affordable than going to your local BMW dealer (a lot in my area don't even carry these), and it's genuine BMW, so NOT an imitation. The leather is of VERY high quality, and we had a key case like this on her previous BMW, so we know it's durable. A MUST-HAVE for ANY BMW owner!

I got a new BMW and found my hatch open in the garage one day (narrowly missing the garage door).It turns out the key fob will allow you to open the hatch at the slightest push even if the doors are locked - this happened while the fob was in my pocket.I tried a few key fobs and decided to keep this one as it is thick and prevents accidental button pushes in my pocket.Unfortunately, the case itself is pretty bulky but it serves its intended purpose. I used blue Loctite on the screw to ensure it does not back out as others have reported.To be honest, although it keeps the fob tightly, this also makes it sort of a pain to fold out. If you do not have comfort access it might be a two handed operation to flip out the fob. Since I rarely use the remote, it serves its purpose to stop accidental key presses.Overall good quality with a so-so design.

Great product. Looks and feels really nice. Easy to install. And despite what some others have said, it DOES come with the proper Allen wrench for installation.

Are these really a BMW product?!! Sadly, they are. They don’t fit snuggly and they make your key almost a full inch thick! Fine if you have boundless room in your purse and need to find the key ( now a giant lump) in the dark amongst all the other contents. They went right back! Terrible!
