These work very well. In the photo you see the results of a control test, on the left the results of a vinegar (acid) solution and on the right a baking soda (alkaline) solution. The colour of the strips clearly indicates accurate pH measurement against the provided reference. I used these for a soil test to determine adding lime to tomatoe potting mix. They displayed a neutral result tested with the soil which looked the same colour as the testing paper but just wet. I think this result is why some people think it doesn't work. Would recommend over the cheaper options found on amazon. Shipped quickly, accurately and in good condition. Will buy again.

So I’ve created my plant feed for my Peace Lily; using the leaves that eventually die off (as they do after so long each) So cutting the leaves & stems into tiny pieces; putting into a jar with plant feed pellets & tap water (and adding new dead leaves as & when) All in all my homemade plant feed is to reuse the last nutrients etc in the leaves That said I didn’t want to poison my plant with this experimental homemade plant feed mix (Such as due to the fluoride in tap water etc) So bought these strips to ensure my homemade plant feed is neutral on the ph scale It registered as an 8 (1 above neutral 7) so overall happy (would probably use distilled water in my next feed batch etc instead of tap water) That’s the reasoning for these ph strips Thank you

The colours on the wheel are not particularly specific, going in increments of 1, so if you need to be precise in the pH reading these are not for you. Also, even when putting the strip next to the wheel to compare the colours it's still hard to tell if it's one or the other. If what you need is an estimate of the pH these will do fine, if you need to know a precise number, look somewhere else

I thought getting two rolls would be good value, well it is for something that is not fit for purpose, I cant be bothered to contact seller and ask for a refund, just write it off as buyihg more garbage of amazon which is becoming more and more like flea bay with the lack of quality in the goods. Save your money, buy in local shop in town, somewhere where you can return the item or better still test it there and then. I may have been unlucky and given a bad batch but the fact remains the same, what was shipped does not do what is claimed to do. Buy if you are happy to have a product that does not work and/or is prepared to send it back, I cant be bothered as it's more effort for me to send the rubbish back.

Did you know that pigeons mate for life? They're monogamous. And these litmus paper strips come in packs of two. Why? I only wanted one - think of the environment! Anyway, it's a good product, straightforward colour change on contact. I got it to check the pH of different soaps after my pharmacist told me the athletes foot spray doesn't work with alkaline soap - it needs acid soap. Super surprised that I've never heard this before but I gave it a go and really, it makes a huge difference. I'm only using acid soaps from now on. If you don't know, it's acid if the pH is less than 7, few soaps have a pH number on them but they don't explain pH or why you need to know it. I suppose you can use this for checking your soil pH if you want to grow roses and that. There must be other applications. I'll mull it over next time I'm on the highway and can't find a decent podcast.

Je m'en sers pour contrôler la préparation d' EM-A (microorganismes efficaces) , la précision est bien suffisante et plus fiable qu'un PH mètre BAS DE GAMME a moins de quelques centaines de € ou $, qu'il faut en permanence étalonner avec des "sauces" plus ou moins précises . j’étais chimiste, 34 ans en recherche, habitué à me servir de colorants ou de papiers ph pour les contrôles rapides. Pour les "ceuses" qui ne le savent pas, on ne trempe pas la bandelette dans la solution mais on en prélève une à deux gouttes que l'on place sur un petit morceau de bandelette PH. Un PH mètre fiable ça vaux une fortune et çà s’utilise en labo dans des conditions bien précises, mais pas devant le robinet ou la piscine !!. L'expérience en chimie ou en physique ne s’acquiert certainement pas dans les forums et autres YOUmachins. Avant de formuler de mauvaises critiques apprenez (pour certains) à vous en servir.

Compré estas tiras reactivas para poder hacer las pruebas de PH a las cremas y emulsiones que hago. Me gusta mucho su presentación en forma de rollo, que además cuenta con una pequeña parte dentada cercana al orificio de salida de la cinta, y que facilita su corte. Me encanta la rapidez de los resultados y la facilidad de interpretarlos ya que hay una imagen en el mismo rollo, donde se muestran las numeraciones del PH así como el color de cada uno. Así si la tira indica que el PH del producto no es el adecuado, puedes hacer las oportunas correcciones y volver a comprobarlo de forma instantánea. Considero que el formato es muy acertado ya que puedes cortar las tiras al tamaño que desees, de esta forma el producto se hace más duradero. No le puedo poner ninguna pega ya que no se la encuentro lo mire por donde lo mire.
