The quality of this film was pretty good
Love this film. Got to be 1 of my favourite Stallone films of all time. His family is torn apart by the father in law until his mom falls I'll and she wants Hawk (Stallone) to get re acquainted with his son and the battle he has to win over his son and fighting his father in law over his son. Lies, deceit, heart break it's got it all.

Perfect 80's cheese
I really always enjoyed this film ever since watching it a couple of years after it came out. I also think it is one of Stallone's most underrated films. The plot revolves around him trying to bond with his estranged son while clashing with his father-in-law. Meanwhile the whole film culminates in Las Vegas at the World Arm Wrestling Championships. The climax is exactly what you'd expect but, like Rocky, you just can't help cheer on the big man.I imported this from America because it is not yet available in the UK and is Region Free. It played on my BluRay player fine (I own a Sony player) and the price is also quite reasonable.I was really blown away by the picture quality though. I only remember this on DVD but the image quality on BluRay is superb considering this is quite an old film (made in 1987) and not one of Stallone's better known titles. Audio is also first rate with a Dolby DTS-HD soundtrack, even though it's a dialogue heavy film, you can hear the difference during the climatic arm wrestling scenes.Well worth getting if your a Stallone fan.

An underrated Stallone calssic made better on bluray!!
I remember going to see this in the cinema in 1987 when I was 15 years old and I loved it!!-soon as I found out it was released on bluray I I just had to buy it.I wasn't disappointed!!-the picture quality is very sharp when you consider how OLD this movie is now and I love the fact it was 16:9 widescreen which is what I prefer.I really enjoyed watching it on bluray as it brought back alot of good memories for me and I liked the fact it looked remastered on bluray and in proper widescreen..no bonus features except for a theatrical trailer and its region A so if your a UK buyer you need to have a multi-region bluray player like I have.(I have a very good Panasonic multi-region bluray machine). All in all I00% recommend this bluray to all stallone fans and fans of a good story and action.

Classic 80's Stallone........
Very fond memories of watching this when I was young; and I have been a lifelong fan of Stallone. It is quite cheesy, not one of his best (but then again not one of his worse!); it's also got a pretty good soundtrack, that I purchased seperately.I already have this film on DVD, but there is a noticeable improvement in the picture and sound quality on Blu Ray.Despite this being an American release (it's not currently available in this country) it is region free, so will play on players in this country.Good price as well; just allow for the long delivery time, most copies available were from America, so three week delivery time.

Great father and son film with that fighting spirit element and plenty of arm wrestling! Reminds me of when I was growing up great 80s film, which looks great on bluray, one of Stallone's best in my opinion!
