Sanyo eneloop AA Mignon Batteries (Pack of 8)

I'm not one of those people who claims to not really write review all that often as I do write reviews and regularly.What prompted me to write a review on the truly awesome Sanyo Eneloop batteries is that these are the latest THIRD Generation batteries (as can be seen from the pictures above) that boast an up-to 1800 recharge capability with an amazing 70% charge retention after 5 years. For note; the second generation eneloops had a 1500 recharge capability and a 75% charge retention after 3 years.I should also add that Sanyo claim that the capacity of their eneloops is a minimum of 1900mAh (a measure of how long they last) although in reality my charger reads 2,300mAh to 2,550mAh which is fantastic and these massively outperform regular Duracell and Energiser Alkaline batteries in my camera, flash unit, flashlights and other high-drain electronic devices.Coupled together with the fact that the eneloops cost less than a penny to recharge (each) you have a no-brainer. They have paid for themselves after around four-five recharges (including the cost of a separate charger).

These batteries are awesome. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. The image of the item shows the older 1500 charges batteries but I was supplied with the newer 1800 charges type. I was originally concerned that the packaging on my batteries stated 1900mAh rather than 2000mAh as advertised, The 1900mAh is a minimum but the items are closer to being 2000mAh. THese batteries come fully charged unlike most rechargeable batteries. I have used one set of four in my Nikon SB-700 to photograph an engagement shoot and a full wedding (using about 500 flashes) and they still read as being nearly full on my battery tester. Usually at weddings I would need to change batteries a couple of times so I a really pleased with the performance of this product. Like I said, SIX STARS.

What can you say about a battery? These work. They seem to hold their charge well when stored and function for a decent period when in use. However, not having carried out controlled tests these can be no more than impressions.

I have used these in my Pentax camera for two three years, covering a wedding, christening, three Christmases, various other events and only recharged them twice. Once when first arrived, but they did work straight from the pack, and again 18 months ago (again when I wanted to be certain they were fully charged, not because they were flat). I have just used the camera again with no signs of needing recharge again. My flash gun also uses them, in earnest for 100 plus shots, again without failure.They just keep on running, straight from the packet, and keep the charge for years.'If only all batteries could be this good'.

much written about the product.....no need to replicate. Price as competitive as other branded ones the likes of Energizer and Duracell.Sloted into my YN 560ii flash. Tried few shots...it worked the other 4 still in the box and will be the spare ones in my Camera bag. Good service. Problem? not at all. unpacked the other 4. put then in the flash. business as usual. ready from the box. recharged with my very old unicross charger and now sitting as the spare one in the bag.Very happy with the product having lasted 212 photo shots...excellent prformance

I have lots (30+) of Vapextech AA batteries, but thought I'd give these ones a go. Although capacity is lower as compared with the Vapextech's (1900 mAh vs 2500 mAh), they do hold their charge for much longer. I've not tested this claim and have no reason to doubt it.But whereas I've had a small handful of Vapextech's fail on me (either losing their re-charge capacity, or dying completely), I've had no such issues the 24 or so Eneloops batteries that I currently use.Will be sticking to Eneloops from now on.

i use 2 in an energizer tactical torch. i only seem to get 2 to 3 hours "full strength" from them before they degrade. i only use them for 1 hour per night. consequently i always carry two spares, and i re-charge each pair about once per week.

Have 12 of these batteries for my nikon sb900 flashgun.I am amazed at there durability. I shot a wedding a few weeks ago, used the flash quite a bit as weather was bad and did not have to change them once.Since then I have done a couple of portraits still no low battery signal, think i,llcharge now anyway.The great thing about eneloop is you can not use them for long periods and they maintain their charge.Great product, and received 3 days after ordering with decent packaging.

J'ai choisi ces piles (que je ne connaissais pas) pour alimenter un GPS de randonnée (Orégon 450)...assez gourmand ! J'utilisais des piles 2700mAh rechargeables qui, dès la seconde recharge ne tenaient que 6 à 7 heures donc changement obligatoire (parfois par précaution) en cours de journée. Celles-ci, qui ne font que 1900mAh, ont tenu 14 heures dont 8 heures passées dans le froid en rando raquettes.J'attends une expérience un peu plus longue pour voir si elles tiennent bien la charge quand elles sont préparées à l'avance et attendent d'être utilisées : 3 semaines c'est trop peu et non réellement significatif.

Para quem quer umas pilhas boas, estas são sem duvida um boa compra.Estão a ser usadas em um flash Nikon sb900, mal chegaram experimentei e fiquei logo bem impressionado.Recomendo sem duvida nenhumas ;).

Meine Rezension zu den "alten" eneloops vom 20.06.2007:Für meine Pentax *ist D Digitalkamera habe ich schon immer hochwertige (meist Sanyo-) Akkus gekauft. In letzter Zeit hatte das Fotografieren allerdings kaum noch Spaß gemacht, da sich meine Akkusätze bereits nach kurzer Zeit selbst entladen hatten. Spontane Fotosessions waren kaum noch möglich. Dabei behandle ich die Akkus pfleglich und lade sie in einem EVT AT3+. Ich hatte langsam auch keine Lust mehr, neue Akkus zu kaufen, da ich genau wusste, dass auch diese wieder nur ein paar Monate lang zu gebrauchen sein würden. Ich fotografiere halt nicht täglich sondern meine Kamera liegt auch mal ein paar Wochen am Stück nur so rum.Die Eneloops sind da wirklich eine Revolution! Durch die geringe Selbstentladung sind sie sogar in Geräten nutzbar, bei denen Akkus bisher keinen Sinn gemacht hatten, z.B. in Fernbedienungen.Man darf sich bei den Eneloops nicht von der niedrigen Kapazität täuschen lassen. In meiner Kamera halten sie deutlich länger als konventionelle 2600 mAh-Akkus. Das liegt daran, dass die Eneloops die Spannung länger konstant halten als normale Akkus, sprich: Die Kamera schaltet sich erst später ab, da die Abschaltschwelle (also die Spannung, ab der die Kameraelektronik sagt: "Akku leer") erst später erreicht wird.Ich kaufe im Bereich Akkus/Batterien nichts anderes mehr!Ich benutze die eneloops seitdem in praktisch allen batteriebetriebenen Geräten, egal, ob es Kameras, Blitzgeräte, Taschenlampen, Fernbedienungen, Spielzeuge (z.B.  Silverlit 85664 - PicooZ Atlas, ferngesteuerter 3-Kanal Hubschrauber ) oder Mobilteile von DECT-Telefonen sind. Ich bin nach wie vor begeistert. Bisher musste ich noch keinen einzigen Akku ausmustern. Um so erfreulicher, dass die neuen eneloops nun 50 % mehr Ladezyklen verkraften sollen. Das kann ich verständlicherweise noch nicht bestätigen. Was aber feststeht: Die Selbstentladung der eneloops ist nun noch mal deutlich geringer geworden! Das macht sich durch verlängerte Laufzeit in Geräten mit wenig Verbrauch (wie z.B. Fernbedienungen) bemerkbar.Ich habe auch vergleichbare Akkus von Varta und Ansmann ausprobiert. Die sind zwar auch gut, kommen aber längst nicht an die Leistunge der eneloops heran. Warum also nicht gleich das Original kaufen? Ich hab mittlerweile ca. 50 Eneloops (alte und neue) seit mehreren Jahren im Einsatz. Ich sags gleich vorweg: Ich bin mittlerweile ein Eneloop Fan!Zur Kapazität und Qualität wurden hier ja schon gute Kritiken geschrieben, die kann ich nur voll bestätigen.Aber für mich liegt der Hauptvorteil im täglichen Gebrauch in der wirklich enorm geringen Selbstentladung! Betrachten wir doch mal die typische Handhabung im umweltbewussten Haushalt:Ein Satz Akkus ist gerade leer geworden. Also gleich zum Ladegerät und aufladen. Nach ein paar Wochen, beim nächsten leeren Akkusatz kommen dann die vor ein paar Wochen geladenen Zellen zum Einsatz. Früher bei herkömmlichen Akkus waren da jetzt meist nur noch kleine Reste der ursprünglichen Ladung drinnen. Folge: Das gewünschte Gerät geht kaum oder nur ganz kurze Zeit -> Ärger und wieder neue aufladen. Viel wertvolle Energie verpufft so ungenutzt, vermutlich bis zu 90%. Der ursprüngliche Gedanke der Umweltschonung wird so zum Umweltkiller und bei den Kosten verhält es sich analog.Ganz anders die Eneloops:Die ENeloops haben sich auch nach Monaten noch kaum entladen. Die eingesetzten Akkus können so tatsächlich das gewünschte Gerät eine vernünftige Zeit antreiben. Folge: Kein Ärger, sondern Freude im Umweltbewusstsein und im Geldbeutel!Und ganz nebenbei ist es auch noch saumäßig praktisch so immer vollen Batterieersatz im Haus zu haben.Fazit:Unbedingt empfehlenswert, auch für Kleinverbraucher wie Fernbedienungen oder gar Uhren. Aber bitte nur mit vernünftigem Ladegerät (z.B. BC-700, BC-900), kein Akkukocher aus dem vorigen Jahrhundert!
