Fine if not a little disappointing from Bendis & Maleev
A disappointing return of the creative team that redefined Daredevil for the last two decades. A misguided attempt at making Moon Knight more accessible to the mainstream by replacing the characters notorious Multiple Personalities with imaginary versions of then Avengers; Captain America, Spider-man and Wolverine. The idea of a Moon Knight who develops split personalities of famous Avengers in order to mimic their gimmicks could have been interesting with better execution

Hmmmm…
“Moon Knight – Complete Collection (Bendis & Maleev)” collects the twelve-issue series from 2011.This is obviously a child of its time, one when I was only slowly getting back into comics, and I don’t remember reading this, though I did buy this creative team’s Daredevil run in Omnibuses shortly before then, and they had their ups and downs, but mostly ups. This felt like a Marvel Knights series, and I was a bit confused at first, as I had lost track of where Moon Knight was in his evolution from master of disguise in his original appearances (which I read at the time of first publication) to the multiple personality disorder that the most recent series’ have been showcasing from 2014 onwards.I started typing this with a 4-star rating at the top of the page, but as I think about it, I’m edging towards five. This showcases Mr Bendis’s conversational style at its most garrulous, and it sometimes slows the flow of the story down, but it is still a cut above regular superhero comics at any rate (unintentional pun there), and it is still a very entertaining story. This is a story for grown-up readers, about grown-up superheroes, and was very entertaining, and so a five-star rating it shall be, then.
