This very small skateboard arrived heavily wrapped in a large bit of scrap cardboard box. While that packaging was easy to recycle, it was hard to get into. So hard I nearly damaged the skateboard while getting the cardboard off. Note the word small because once I finally removed all the packaging I found the deck of a very small skateboard. Or, more accurately, what appeared to be several layers of very lightweight plywood shaped like a skateboard. On the base there's 8 predrilled holes for some wheels. But, as this felt so filmsy, I wondered if it I added wheels if it would be able to take any weight. Maybe a cat or small dog, but possibly not a human, not even a small one. Which left me feeling this is purely a decorative non functional item. Now that's fine if you want that for painting, as I did. Indeed I chose this specifically for signwriting on. Something that I'm sure will be very good for. Especially because it's really smooth. So it would be good for marker pens and paints that don't need a pre-primed surface. Though for paints that would soak into wood, you'd need to prime it beforehand. Something you could easily do with a quick spray of acrylic based car primer. Overall ? If you want a big functional skateboard for both paint and play, this isn't it. But if you want a deck for an unique or standout artistic project, this is perfect.

Cute mini deck. Helps to lightly sand , prime with gesso, and lightly sand again. Used acrylic paints and posca pens. Happy with outcome.
