I reviewed this filter about a year ago, reproduced below. The only update I have is a comment by my HVAC guy the first time that he replaced this filter with a new one. He commented on the high volume of dust on the old filter. He said that this was an indicator of a high quality filter, so I'm making no changes to my purchase habits. This is also the cheapest option I have found in this size and MERV rating. My original review follows:My only complaint is that it does not have a raised tab along one side to close off the air flow around the screw holding the tray housing in my HVAC unit. The OEM brand has one side with the top width being about 1/2" wider than the bottom to allow for coverage of the full width while avoiding the screw on the bottom half of the housing tray. I think that not having the tab may allow some air leakage around the filter, compared to the OEM. However, the highly reasonable cost more than offsets this minor flaw. Filter fit perfectly other than that.

We have four heat pumps and associated air handlers in our house so it is somewhat of a pain changing filters especially as my local hvac dealer is a20 mile round trip. I was a bit dubious about ordering as I was worried about their quality as these are half the price I usually pay but on arrival they do not appear much different to the other ones supplied by my Trane dealer. I had to adjust some of the V sections but no more than previously. I can't really tell if they allow more or less air and dust through but they seem fine. Big plus was they were delivered to my office in a few days.

They work great, I have many cats and live in FL, so need to change the filter often. Had I known the new A.C. I got would require such expensive filters that are not readily available in stores I would have asked for a different type. But glad Amazon has them.

Perfect fit for a replacement on my trane clean effects electronic filter. Just had to remove the rails that held the old unit in and slide the new media filter in place. Good for up to a year! I purchased the twin pack and plan on every 6 months.

Slightly crushed in shipping, but easily molded to fit just fine.

I like the price and quick delivery. Its cheaper than going to the manufacturer.

The Perfect Fit filters we had been purchasing were no longer available. After wading through the various options,made the decision to try these. While they are not made exactly the same way as Trane labeled filters they do fit the unit. Where the original filter had a ledge on one side to accommodate the space, these have one side that is angled instead. Not marked. Took a couple of attempts to see this difference. Once recognized, it slid in fine. Will purchased these again.

We did not know that our A/C company did not have filters on hand, so it was a tad daunting to have to search for one that fit our system. Amazon to the rescue! We were able to get two filters for pretty much what it would have cost for one through our company. Very satisfied!
