Review is for COMFEE 1.7L Double Wall Electric Tea Kettle. I was surprised that the kettle's appearance was actually much nicer in person compared to the product photos. Design is sleek and modern. The overall build quality appears to be solid. The flip-up switch has a built-in light to indicate when the unit is powered on (this was not shown in the photos). The interior steel vessel is a singular piece (like a thermos) and has no seals that might potentially leak (the corners have a small radius - no weld points). There are no plastic parts that come into contact with the water. Even the underside of the lid is one solid piece of metal. NOTE: my unit had a plastic and metal mesh strainer attached on the inside, which was easily removed via the plastic notches. The exterior is a nicely finished, glossy plastic with a solid handle. Looks like it should hold up well. Heating times (starting with cold tap water to full boil): 8m30s with cold water filled to the MAXIMUM line 3m10s with cold water filled to the MINIMUM line I have not owned the unit for very long, but based on the use I've had so far, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nicely designed, 100% no-plastic-contact with water, budget friendly electric kettle.

Excellent -- does everything you want from an Electric Kettle -- stylish. It is large, like I wanted, so for some it may be too heavy but for me, no problem, I get lots of hot, hot, hot water. Love this pot and having used it for several months it has never failed me. Fast, boil .. love it

Perfectly functional. Heats very quickly. Would probably look nicer in stainless steel or white. I love that the top opens and you can fit your hand inside to effectively clean it.

i deducted 1 star (would have been a half or quarter star if available) only because you cant see the water level from the outside and the lid cant open straight up for filling, but this is a great unit. boils fast and stays cool to the touch on the outside. also, the contact point to the base is in the center so it swivels to any position. this is a great unit. i bought this one because my other one (not this brand) that i bought 14 years ago gave out. if this one lasts as long, that would be great.

It took a long time to find a to find a hot pot that didn't have any plastic parts that came in contact with the water. However It did have a removable small filter that was inserted into the spout that partially made of plastic that I opted not to use) From clear up some comments from past reviews, 1. The outside of the hot pot does not get hot to the touch. It's a little warm but nothing unusual. 2. It's not that loud that it would disturb people in another room. It does make noise but not any more from a previous pot I used. Granted I've only used it 3xday for a couple weeks but so far it's an excellent value. I was willing to pay more for any pot that met my criteria but was happily surprised to find this excellent value based on its decent construction and performance thus far. 6/3/25 UPDATE: After purchasing it last October, the water I now heat up has a metallic taste to it. Over the last few days I've been able to determine it was from the hot pot since the water upsetting my stomach.

Works great! I took off the plastic filter near the spout; now no plastic! The kettle is sleek, well made and easy to handle.

This Comfee electric pot is what I've been waiting for. It heats water quickly without any plastics leaching into your water. Perfect for teasing and hot chocolate.

What I thought was just heat discoloration, after a month of use, have found to be metal flaking off along the interior bottom of the kettle, visibly following where the heating element is closest to the kettle. Other than that, it's a fine product - heats quickly, exterior is well insulated, lid operates (not as described, manual operation needed to adjust when open, to the two described angles). It sold me on the concept of an electric kettle, and I'll be looking for one from a brand I recognize, and hopefully not made in china.
