Excellent keeps you on track

Having read reviews, this book was as expected. It's perfectly serviceable for doodling in, and doing quick sketch ideas, but if you are looking for something to do serious sketches in, buy a sketchbook with the correct paper for your drawing medium.I can draw pictures fine, but the paper is very smooth so there are limitations when shading. I don't press hard in the book, but if I was going to, I' put a piece of card underneath the page, to stop it imprinting further pages.I do ink doodles and yes, I can see the image from the other side, but I'm not worried about that, the book isn't for show. I use Picma Micron pens, and a Faber Castel brush pen, and maybe if I went over an area it would break through eventually. I tested a highlighter, and it soaked right through, also some permanent markers did. Charcoal or pastel pencils just smudge off on the opposite page and I'm not sure if the paper could take setting spray, i haven't tried that. I've used an eraser and it was fine, but I wasn't scrubbing the page with it.I've returned to art after many years, I have proper sketch pads, I just wanted something to encourage me to pick up a pencil or pen every day, where I can doodle ideas, even if it's only a page of shapes and patterns. Because each day is only half the page, it's not hard to do, and when I want more space, I move onto the sketch pad.So, it fulfils my requirements, the reason for 4 stars, is tbe book spine means it doesn't open flat and is a bit awkward on one side. I use a clip to keep the pages open where I want them.

I was slightly disappointed at how flimsy the covet was but other then that it's a fun tool for daily doodles etc...

Das Buch ist super.Ich hatte vor Jahren bereits eins das allerdings kleiner war. Das war auch das Problem, dieses hier hat eine angenehme Größe für kleine Tägliche Skizzen. Das Papier ist zwar nicht das dickste aber in meinem Fall völlig ausreichend. Ich zeichne ü erwigend mit den Tusche Stiften von Faber-Castell und es sichert bei normalen farb Schichten nichts durch.

It’s okay but I’ll be honest that I’m a little disappointed with the paper quality but for a quick doodle everyday I guess it’s alright. I put stickers on mine to personalize it :)
