I used this book, watched her YouTube videos, and passed on the first try. This book is fantastic when it comes to explaining the concepts in detail, as well as for the constructed-response questions. There are also some repetitive questions in the book. But overall, I would 100% recommend it if you need help with studying for the Praxis 5205.

I took the test 2 weeks ago at home, so still waiting for results. Now that I have had time to reflect on the test, I feel like this book did assist me with material I encountered on exam. Was everything on the test in the book? No, but this book did cover many of the concepts on test. The book did not have many constructed response practice prompts, but the examples given gave me some insight on how to answer. I would have felt completely lost on that portion of exam without the book or online videos provided by author. Know your ELL strategies and schwa sound! Good luck to everyone who is about to take this exam. It was not fun! Update: Passed! Get the book!
