CRKD Nitro Deck Limited Edition with Carry Case
I bought this product for my Mario red Nintendo Switch oled console!, there are reviews that say this doesn’t work with some switch oled consoles but it works fine with mine!. When you put your switch into this it will recognise it but it won’t work until you go to the settings & turn on pro controller wired communication, so do this first before you put your switch into the nitro deck go to system settings, controllers & sensors then scroll down to pro controller wired communication & turn it on then put your switch into the nitro deck & it will work. As for people saying the buttons are noisy & loud well I don’t think they are not compared to the kk slider wireless controller the buttons on that are loud!, the nitro deck looks good, feels good to hold, the triggers are so much better on this 1 so smooth it’s comfortable to use too works well & you can charge your switch while playing as it has 2 usb c ports on the back at the top. The carry case it comes with is great quality & perfect for storing the nitro deck to keep it safe & suitable for use when travelling too, you do need to use the case that came with the nitro deck though as it doesn’t fit in any other case but it has a detachable shoulder strap you can use or a carry handle, it even comes with a spare set of stick tops so you can swap them or you can buy a new set to change them if you want to. People said the battery isn’t good but this uses the battery on your switch to power it & so far I’ve found the battery doesn’t run out as fast as people are saying, it comes with a usb c cable to charge it which you can use with a power bank if you’re travelling, the best power bank to use is the anker power bank for Nintendo Switch I have this power bank & it’s great perfect for charging your switch while travelling. The carry case has storage for 8 games & a pouch in the top to store the cleaning cloth that comes with it & the usb c cable fits in there too!. The nitro deck has 5 air vents either side on the back so it doesn’t overheat & it does have a stand too on the back, the stand is nice & sturdy & you can actually use it. I think this nitro deck is well worth the money but if you buy it & don’t like it you can always send it back, I’ve used it for hours & never had any issues with my wrists or hands & it’s not too heavy either for me it’s perfect. It comes in different colours too I went for the crystal pink colour & I love it, it does come with silicone covers for the stick tops or you can buy your own but the Nintendo Switch stick covers do NOT fit the nitro deck you need to buy either the ones for the nitro deck or xbox or ps5 thumb stick covers if you don’t like the ones it comes with.

The best!
One of the best purchases of 2024. I originally bought it because I was looking for a case that was thicker than the switch due to how much it hurt my hands to hold such a thin console, my husband then told me about this because he'd bought one of their controllers. It is so perfect. The thickness and the contours of it make it so comfortable to hold, plus it has extra buttons on the back. My switch fit perfectly, and now I have the OLED that one also fits as it's for both models which I think is incredible that you don't need to buy different models for different Nintendos. The pastel colour makes me so happy as I personally prefer anything pastel. I love that I can still use it when my switch needs charging too and I don't need to remove it. The buttons feel great. The stand on the back is amazing, it actually stands the switch up to face you but has a huge range of angles. Also the case that it comes with is so super sturdy and comes with some wires and extra thumb sticks so you can change them, it also has a little section where you can add game cartridges. Overall, I can't recommend this enough and anyone with a switch or a switch OLED. Get this!

The Good, The Bad, The Concerning
Given how monumentally attrocious the joycons are, I'd decided never to trust Nintendo again with controllers. Too thin, poorly laid out and needing to be replaced every 5 minutes due to drift. With that in mind I did a LOT of research and settled in on this. The body is a nice hard plastic, the unit is fairly light, but once the Switch is in it is significantly heavier. The unit is also much thicker (maybe 3x) but this does mean it fits more naturally in the hand and has better ergonomics. The sticks come with 2 rounded yellow caps and 2 inverted grey ones that are easy to switch. The sticks are much higher which means more control and more travel. The D-Pad is perfectly fine. There's no obnoxious LEDs to distract the eyes, aside from the home button which does light up to indicate the unit is attached and under power. The action buttons are fine, but they do have a bit of verticle travel, so maybe those who like fighting games might find an issue with that. On the back there's 4 clicky pads that you can program to copy any button, this means you could replace the D-Pad or your action buttons and you can play a 3rd person shooter without having to take your thumb off the right stick to jump or fling a grenede. The best part is the shoulder buttons, the left and right triggers are not clicky. They each have travel which means that you can apply graded pressure. My starts in New Star GP have gotten significantly better thanks to this. My pack came with a nice hard shell zipped carry case that also has a shoulder strap. You get your spare stick caps and also a nice high quality charging cable. Speaking of charging, it does just fine using the input socket. I've not used the output socket, but I've seen no complaints about that. The big con, which others have mentioned, is vibration. It's fairly loud, but it's also very weak. So you more hear it than feel it. It's not really an issue for me, but I can see how it might annoy people I am using the original model Switch which slips into the unit nicely and I've noticed no scratches on the back (not that I'd honest care, unless it was slicing deep gouges into it). Taking the Switch out is a bit of a pain though. You have to push up the release tab on the back then firmly apply sliding pressure to the Switch to get it to move out. I only ever play handheld, so that shouldn't be an issue for me (foreshadowing). Setting it up honestly doesn't take much, just remove the joycons, use the touch screen to go to options>controls>enable wired pro controller and then slide your Switch into the unit. Now the concerning. If you've read other reviews or done any research you'll know this thing has the potential to lose connection and the CRKD are not really willing to take any blame, even though they will freely have the unit shipped to them for inspection. I have experienced this already. I played an hour and a half of Stardew, went away for 45 minutes and when I came back to wake up the console the controller had ceased functioning. I tried a few troubleshooting steps I'd already learned about and it still wouldn't work. In the end, I turned off the Switch, removed it from the controller, turned it on, turned off pro controller, turned on pro controller and then slid it back in to the dock. This did the trick, but now I am not sure if I can trust the Sleep function which means I always have to turn my console off and can't just hop back in to whatever I'm playing. If this is the only issue, I'm fine with it. It's inconvenient, but it's better than literally fighting with my controller due to drift.

Amazing Product
I rarely play my Nintendo Switch now a days, been too busy with course work and just general life stuff, but, ever since I got this controller for my Nintendo Switch I've been playing portably non-stop, which I don't normally do. I found the controller rather comfy to hold, the D-Pad is good for what it is and the analog sticks work great! Playing through Mario Odyssey with the Nitro Deck was much better than with the official Pro Controller from Nintendo. I highly recommend this, even for the bag and the added goods alone, also the GameCube colour scheme was really nice, gave me some nostalgia

Its nostalgia and its great
Yes its looks that good in real life and yes you should buy it. Honestly made me want to play my switch again, CRKD should be getting a kickback from Nintendo because ive bought more games just so I can use the Nitro Deck to play them. Buttons and triggers feel great, charging ports are so much better, its not too much heavier that it limits play time and the button mapping is more useful than I thought it would be. Ill probably get one if they make a version for the switch2 as well.

Far too exspensive for what it is and scratches the back of the switch !
This helps alot with handling for on the move gaming. Helps with people with bigger hands to hold the switch comfortably for long periods of gaming.. Looks good and is well made. It works as a pro pad for the switch the price is the problem with this product for what it is , its overpriced . After using for a few months I've noticed the casing scratches the back of your switch as mines a limited addition switch i am not happy , how can you make a product that damages ??

Maybe not what you are looking for.
I decided after a long grouling time watching many videos on the Nitro Deck, that it was time to decide for myself what I thought. I ordered the Limitied Edition Green with Carry Case. The product itself looks phenomenal. The green is beautiful and the case is very sturdy and secure. Comes with a very nice USBC Cable, Cloth and replacement thumb grips. All of the above..... 5/5. Its when it comes to the handling of the Nitro Deck, where it starts to lose points. Firstly the vibration is, for want of a better word, obnoxious. Its loud, but feels okay. The joycons feel nice to move, but it's the movement themselves that I didn't like, I found myself having to really stretch my thumbs across to get a full movement. The buttons themselves are loud also. They are much much louder than the standard Nintendo ones to a point where if you were with someone while they are reading or watching TV, you may end up annoying them. The triggers also gave me some issues, I found myself having a re-grib the console everytime I needed to press the triggers, which was often. I also found myself accidentally pressing the back triggers quite a lot and it made gameplay slightly annoying. I would say that if you are looking something to make your Switch feel better, this isn't for you. You would be better with a grip case or something that is much cheaper bit actually, better. Maybe with the Nitro Deck + things might improve. But I lasted a whopping 16 hours before I had to return it. Shame.
