However, because the leak wasn't significant and due to its location, we didn't notice it until there was an electrical issue with the dishwasher and we had to move it. Therefore, when I came across this set of this 2 water detectors, I decided I must have them.Setup is very easy - all you have to do is to remove the battery insulator before placing the device in the area you want to test. The device has 4 bottom water detectors and additionally, a leak detector on the top of the device as well. This means that the device will not only alert you about water spillage on the floor, but also if there is a direct leak on the top of the device. Once the leak is detected, the device will sound the alarm to notify about the water presence. I would really appreciate the ability for the device to connect to an application which will notify me on my phone about the leak, and luckily the seller has this type of device available for sale as well.I highly recommend placing one of these detectors behind the dishwasher and washing machine.

The media could not be loaded. Package arrived containing 2 white detectors, each measuring 72 mm in diameter and 27 mm high. They also come with 2 blue triangular prying tools to allow access to the battery compartments. Two AAA batteries are supplied for each detector. There are 4 metal pins on the base, used to detect the water and there is also a test button on the top.It's just a case of strategically placing the detectors in suitable locations i.e., next to washing machines, under the bath etc..They work, any if you have a leak, you will soon know about it. They are LOUD!

Those are one of the great detector to have at home to prevent a large leak resulting a even further work. The detector come as two in a pack so you can have them under the sink but I would think the floor heating will be one if the most best place to install them. To use them are easy just remove the film and install them and its all set to go.

These are great for places where water can either be a sudden problem like a burst pipe (stupid flexipipes lol) or where there might be a loose waste pipe or something like under a bath where you tend to not see the water.What this has helped me with in the past is the waste pipe on my bath getting disconnected and instead of having the full bath leak out, as soon as I heard the water detector then I could put the plug back in the bath until I could fix the problem.This is a two pack and good value, it can save hundreds or even thousands of pounds worth of damage, so well worth the money. You also get batteries included so youre saving a few quid there as well. The sounds having tested it is very loud and distinctive so you know what it is when it goes off. Fingers crossed it never does but its a great tool and safety net if the worst does happen.

These waterproof detectors arrived nicely packaged (see photos). The instructions are very easy to follow. The set up process is very straightforward. They come with a little blue tool which you can use to open the case and activate the battery. I have placed one detector below our water tank upstairs, and the other detector below our sink in the kitchen. I have tested both of them and can say that they work really well. Beware, though, the siren is very loud and would definitely wake me up from a deep sleep.

I have put one of these underneath the kick boards in my kitchen by the sink and dishwasher, and one underneath the bath.I tested on the draining board and they are plenty loud enough to be heard even when hidden away. You can even change it to a quiter alarm if you need to.These detectors also come with with a detector on the top, and include two AAA batteries each.I only got the two pack without the smart connectivity, so will only be useful if I am at home - but hopefully would pick up on a slow leak that hasn't made itself visible to me yet. The included instructions do state that these will automatically pair with the reciever if you are purchasing these as extras.

I ordered these to use in our server room as everything in the business revolves around our IT equipment.The servers are under potential threat from the air con unit (always potential to freeze up then leak) or from the water pipes in the roof void.These sensor are easy to set up, just split the casing with the supplied tool and pull the tab insulating the batteries to activate the sensor then place on the surface you want to monitor.The sensor has two modes of activation, water detection form below when a puddle forms underneath or from above when water drips on to it.The alarm is loud enough to pass through doors/walls so they will alert anyone sitting nearby.My only regret is that this kit doesn't come with the wireless hub as being able to monitor for leaks when the building is empty would be a real bonus.Verdict: No quite fully fit for my purpose but for home monitoring these would be pretty good and at a reasonable price.
