Solid stand. Not hard to build if you plan ahead.
I read numerous reviews about this stand before purchasing with many noting difficulties constructing the stand. First, this is a very solid stand when built correctly. Second, I can provide some helpful advice to the build process to make it easier for the 20 gallon stand - I built it in about 30 minutes with some careful planning. To build this stand without spending 2 hours cussing and questioning your sanity you need to open the box and find the directions before anything else. I found the direction booklet wrapped to the pieces of wood that create the lower shelf. Look at the picture of the stand and this will help make sense of my suggestions. Open the directions and study them for a quick minute so you have a basic idea of the parts you’re unpacking. When unboxing you will notice various pieces shrink wrapped together. KEEP THESE PIECES TOGETHER!!! If you throw them all in a pile you will slow your progress and become flustered because some parts have subtle differences. Pay special attention to the amount of holes that are in each piece of square tubing. 2 pieces of square tubing make a full length tube for the length of the stand. Okay, you have your parts laid out and organized as a group by how they were wrapped together. Find the 2 bags of assembly parts. One bag contains the bolts and the other the adjustable feet. Sort the bolts into the 3 sizes provided. Let’s build! Find the hex key tools for the screws in the screw bag and follow the directions. Any 2 pieces of square tubing that needs to be joined together with 2 screws to make a full length tube - you will need to assemble these by making the connection joint as tight and square as possible to each other (this will save you numerous headaches later in the build and keep the stand square) and set them aside while you’re working thru the build steps. You will construct the end pieces first, then the bottom shelf, you finish building with the top shelf with the metal tube grid. You need to keep everything square so the pieces fit together. Any screws in the end pieces start by screwing them finger tight. Following the build process and attach the wood pieces to make the bottom shelf. Line these pieces to be as square as possible and tighten them down solid to create a square base. Is it square? Perfect! Now go back and tighten all the screws at the ends to firm up the stand. Next, you’re going to build the top shelf. It’s basically the same as the bottom shelf but instead of the wood pieces making the top square the tube grid the fits inside the top tube frame will make the stand square. Make sure each screw tightens down evenly over the entire top. If you have gaps in the joints the stand isn’t square. Once you’ve constructed the stand check every bolt again to make sure everything is tight and draws all the connections together. Now, sit back, have a beverage of your choice, and marvel in your construction skills!

Just right
Love it so far! It is short, but if you read description for the table you chose, it's correct. Latest Pecto cheap 20gal long tank fits. The frame of it is off a smidge, but that's fine. Will be using angle iron along the long sides to place tank onto, as the top parts aren't perfectly smooth to the next. Love short stands! All other stands are awful for viewing from the couch and are too tall to easily reach in. 30min to put together, 25 if you didn't confuse the bars and had to flip them around.

Returned, dirty, missing screws
I feel like we are striking out lately on purchasing online. We had to replace a broken one from a move. Unfortunately, after we got so far in putting this together, we realized the clearly returned product also had missing parts so we had to go out and buy additional screws. It is awkward to put together but at least make sure when items are returned they have all the parts and don’t have cat hair all over it. Some of us are extremely allergic. Disappointing but unfortunately we need it now not later.

Know your dimensions
Packaged well. Quick and easy to assemble. It's exactly what I needed for my son's turtle tank. I will probably get some brackets to secure to the wall but over all not a bad stand. Don't buy it from looking at the picture alone. Read the dimensions and get a tape measure. It's short and it's pictured holding a 20 gallon long tank. This will not hold that size tank. It will however hold a 20 gallon high tank. Anything smaller than the dimensions given won't work well with this stand unless you put some support across the top of the stand. It's a decent stand and works for what I needed but may not be what everyone wants. If in doubt measure your tank and measure out how big the stand is to get a better feel for it. It's definitely not a center piece conversation starter.

Great turtle tank stand!
This tank stand looks really great in our living room! I realize it says rimless and my turtle’s tank does have a rim so it goes off the edges a little bit. But it holds the tank up and is very sturdy. Got compliments on it too. :)

Looks great!
Easy to assemble. Not a perfect fit but it works for my 20 gallon tank. Recommend to first place your tank on the stand before installing the metal gaskets wich secures the tank. I'm only using 2 out of 6 metal gaskets.

It's short
It holds the tank up without any issues but it is shorter than any stand i have seen.

Has held up for almost a year now!
This has been a great stand for us, my axolotl is in a 20gal long on this stand and it fits exactly perfectly.
