Great char controller
Work good easy to install

Everything is excellent about them.
After three months of installation, they operate with no problems, even in the shade of Arizona's heat. I ordered them because they have the larger screw in ports for the 10 or 12 gauge wire, solid body, good heat escape fins on the back, and an easy-to-use button. And most of all, I run 3-- 20-amp 12-volt system, so I buy equipment that will handle at least twice the load I put on it, instead of like my neighbor, who underbuys and burns his crap out. Everything is excellent about them.

POS product
Last 3 months then stopped working. Tried to reach out to seller with no luck for a replacement. Guess product is only good for 3 months.

Second controller
Second controller. Won't turn on at all, neither did the first one. No lights, no connection to solar or batteries am I missing something, would be nice to have a way to contact them for support. Update- got support, this is not a boost charger, exact voltage is required for usage. Does great at charging even bringing back dead batteries to life!

Room to grow into much more electricity. Bought for its better quality.
The size was bigger than expected from photos but it was a happy thing to find full sized screws and large holes to put in pretty big sized wires. Not sure of size. Screen is a little small but tells the tale. Easy information update with no confusion. My amateur wannabe engineer says put washers or just strips of metal where mounting holes are so no breakage in hard conditions. The case seems brittle plastic instead of forgiving but for price, especially if wattage and electronics are good inside, is a real treat. Happy to have bought it. Others reviewed it okay. One one is better.

MPPT or Not?
It is definitely a $40 charge controller. Not true MPPT no way to even know if it is MPPT, most likely PWM. It is so simple my high technical and experienced mind is baffled. No option to change charging to lithium standards. Today was the first day to see it in action. This is very cheaply designed: push buttons are simple detent type buttons. Push Menu Button use left up button to cycle between modes: Charging, Lighting, Lighting with delay, Universal control, Timing, and Test. I took pics knowing I'll lose manuals but one pic was blurry. Not sure what the Universal and Test modes do? The right button is on off for load but when in menu not sure what it does. I'll try to program it for lithium tomorrow but i have high doubts it even has the option for lithium batteries. I am hoping and assuming it has auto selection on battery type but it is too cheap feeling to have that option. Even the most expensive models dont have auto sense for lithium settings. One thing I was really disappointed is depending on battery voltage limits your input voltage. I haven't tried to put more voltage to see if it can handle. I have a 24vdc lithium bank 300ah. According to manual it says input voltage for 24vdc is between 30vdc to 50vdc. For 48vdc input voltage can be up to 100vdc. I had to parallel two 410w panels 31vdc 13a each. It doesnt make sense that it can handle 2400w at 24vdc meaning it can handle 100a but output is only 50amps. The terminals can barely accept 8awg wires which can hanlde maybe 60amps. Not sure how to put 100a on solar input using an 8awg terminal. I understand rule of thumb most controllers are more efficient if the voltage from PV should be slightly higher the battery bank voltage. Example: 24vdc bank (in my case 29.6vdc bank) PV In Voltage should be between 30vdc and 50vdc. If you match 50vdc at 2400w the amps would be 48amps max! My case I have 31vdc panels 13amps: When I parallel two I have 26amps on a 10awg wire. Im at max! But with 31vdc at 2400w the amps would be 77amps! If in series my panels produce 62vdc over the rwting for 24vdc bank. Due to this being a chinese product. I am going to derate all of that. My plan was to put 1640w (4 panels) into one Controller but now that I know its parameters, I will only use 2 due to the 10awg wire ampacity. I have two controllers, I have 8 panels but will only use 4 of them till I can find a better controller. You definitely get what you paid for. If you just want a simple charger that is cheap and its install and forget, this is it. If you want a charge controller that tells you everything... this is not it.
