My 6 month old is crawling and all we have is tile in our house. I was on the hunt for a rug or mat of some sort that wouldn’t move around like normal blankets or comforters do when you put them on the ground. For a rug the same size as this mat, it was about $90-$130 and I didn’t want to spend that much on something my son is going to drool and spit up all over. I chose this primarily because of it’s cute design and claims to have non slip grip underneath it. I typically don’t purchase items that have only a few reviews but I’m so glad I did! This mat is A M A Z I N G. My son loves to crawl all over it and it doesn’t budge! It’s so comfortable that he falls asleep on it too. $60+ well spent! I’m thinking about purchasing another to leave at my in-laws!

It is very cute and a good size. It is a little thinner than we expected buy still works. I love that it doesnt slide around. I do think it should be a little thicker for the price, but would still recommend and buy again. I also love it can be tossed in the washing machine.

Love this mat for my baby. It provides just a little extra cushion when we play on the floor, and I like that it’s easy to wash and stays put on a hard surface. This is not thick enough to cushion baby’s head if they fall. I would recommend a foam mat underneath if your child is still wobbly. If they aren’t, wobbly then it’s a perfect playmat for a hard floor.

Love this play mat! It’s nice and thick - we use it on our travertine floors and it’s perfect. The colors are vibrant and the fabric is really soft. The play mat washes well too! It’s a good size for playing and crawling around.

Such a beautiful playmate. Not as cushioned as I’d like it to be for our hardwood flooring because our little guy loves to fall backwards when he’s on his knees, and his landing is not as soft as landing on top of a floor that already has soft carpet. Our area rug underneath isn’t sufficient as extra padding, so I had to use another comforter underneath the playmat. If your little one doesn’t do the same thing as ours (landing on his back or falling on his face for “fun”) then this would be okay by itself without extra padding if you had hardwood floors or tile.

So I’m giving 5 stars all around! My daughter crawls really well on this, which helped with learning to crawl on our hardwood floors! And although she’s a strong sitter, she still loses her balance every once in a while, and if she doesn’t catch herself, she’ll just topple over and bonk her head on the floor. This mat actually helps cushion the fall somewhat if she doesn’t bonk too hard.It still slides around a tiny bit but it stays in place 98% of the time. The other 2%, my daughter was trying to crawl onto it from the hardwood floor or I accidentally kicked or tripped on it (I’m clumsy!).The cleaning directions say to hang dry in the sun, but I just toss it in the drier on low heat because the area we live in is pretty cloudy most of the day (Monterey Bay Area). First time wash I followed the directions.I would love to get a second one for our living room, but only if it was cheaper. It’s currently in her bedroom. I even think it’s comfy to lay on over hardwood floor.Pic: Addy is the happiest baby ever, especially surrounded by toys on this mat!

We have a 6 month old and hardwood floors everywhere. We also have a shedding dog and even with vacuuming every day, there is still hair and debris he tracks in on the floors. I hate rugs because they get just as gross as hard floors but aren't easy to clean. This mat was the perfect solution! It is very large so there is room for him to move around and still remain on the mat, it's soft enough for him to tip over while sitting up (I'd still prefer to brace his fall but if he were to fall over and I didn't catch him, this mat is MUCH better than the floor), the colors are very vibrant, it doesn't slide around, and it's MACHINE WASHABLE (the best part in my opinion)! Definitely worth the price.

Love that you can throw this in the washing machine and wash this mat as opposed to those foam ones. I haven't tried drying it in the dryer as I just leave it out to air dry overnight. We have a small space so I love that it folds up easily too. I'm only knocking down one star because one of the threads in the zig zag quilting is already starting to come apart.
