The microscope is easy to use, amazing images for a $300 scope! The picture is for a necklace that has the entire Bible engraved on it. It is about 3/8" square. I can read it with this microscope! Probably about 4000x - 5000x.

I am a dad. I bought 3 microscopes for Christmas. I gave them to my kids ages 7 and 9 years old. Each microscope was about $300. Microscope 1: This Andonstar digital microscope. Microscope 2: Stereoscopic microscope Microscope 3: Compound microscope I do not do any electronic repair or photographing of coins or rocks. I just wanted to view creatures. I was able to view a rotifer and insects with the microscope. I was also able to see near microscopic water fleas and snails on plants picked up from a creek. I have many prepared slides purchased from Amazon. The PROS of this microscope is that it is general purpose, allowing you to view both large and small creatures. You don't have to look through an eye piece. My kids especially appreciate that. They like that they can take photos. The support is good in that Andonstar watches reviews and will address any issues that come up. I had an issue before the Amazon return window expired but they assured me that they would address any issues after the window expired. The box comes with containers and other useful accessories that kids would appreciate. They seem to want to make the microscope enjoyable for children. The CONS of this microscope are that the images it produces are not as clear as my two analog microscopes. So, for example, I viewed insects from Amazon that were encased in resin. I just could not get enough light and clarity into the crevices of the insect body so the image was a bit dark relative to the stereoscopic microscope. I had to do a lot of fiddling to adjust the image brightness and lighting to maximize the clarity of the insect. I viewed a rotifer and could see it moving. I could see the body stretching and the cilia around the mouth moving with some clarity. But if you want to see a lot of detail, then you need to get a compound microscope. I believe that the analog microscopes will last longer. There are no circuit boards with electronic interfaces or software to worry about. I had a problem in which the Andonstar HDMI interface worked well with my computer monitor but not with my travel monitor. Unfortunately, the travel monitor caused the microscope to keep rebooting. Andonstar reached out to me and replaced the entire microscope. The support team says this issues had not been seen before, so it must be rare. On high magnification, changing the focus would sometimes cause me to lose my place on the glass slide I am viewing. The steroscopic microscope I bought allows you to see all the objects in 3D because it has separate lenses for each eye. This is quite spectacular. The Andonstar digital microscope cannot view objects in 3D. When viewing prepared slides, I looked at a bird feather, honey bee leg and pine stem. The Andonstar produced nice images, but they were still not as clear as the analog microscopes. In summary, my kids liked not having to look through eye pieces. They like the screen. They liked being able to take photos. They liked the Andonstar and the other microscopes and there was no clear winner. If you want to view both microscopic and large objects this might be a good fit because it can do both. If you are presenting this in a classroom, and adding a camera to an analog microscope is outside your price range, this microscope could be useful. For me, if I had to pick one microscope, I would pick the stereoscopic microscope with zoom. You can zoom in and out smoothly. The 3D and clarity is really amazing when viewing rocks and insects. Even prepared slides are pretty clear when you buy a high zoom lens.

“I see dead things” great value for the price!

I like the microscope, but am having a problem with the screen flickering and cutting out. Is there a way to contact the manufacturer? It is only when I use the focus on the lens, otherwise it works great. I'm not ready to return it, still hoping I can get it working properly.

This is definitely one of the better made products I've purchased recently. It is well packaged, well designed, and well made. It seems to work quite well. Definitely recommend the product!

I use microscopes for anything from coin grading to knife edge sharpening edge inspection. The Andonstar works great for both and with the 10 inch display, I don't need my reading glasses. The lights are at the end of a gooseneck and be positioned at almost any direction needed. You get two lens for close inspection applications. They're quite easy to remove/replace with two thumb screws and have the recommended distance to subject printed on the lens. I didn't think much of this until I realized the stage doesn't enough height adjustment for all of the lenses - you have to move the lens assembly up/down the arm. The "typical" revolving lenses are just as easily installed as the inspection lens. You use these for looking at slides like you did in school. The stage has a handy x-y adjustment that lets you move the object around with good granularity. My only gripe is lack of fine focus. I found myself fiddling with the focus knob quite a bit to keep my subject in focus at the higher levels of magnification. Changing the lens takes a bit of muscle so make sure the mounting screws are tightened. The endoscope is used to inspect something at an angle not normal to the stage. There is a second gooseneck to which you attach the scope. I'm not sure if I have a use for this but it seems like a handy feature when inspecting things with lots of nooks and crannies. The interface is very straight forward. Without the included micro-SD card installed, it's just on/off and a digital zoom. When you put in the micro-SD card, you can take image captures and view the pictures. There are a small host of tools included, but you're probably better off just using the picks and tweezers you already have. There's a bit of grease that oozes out of the moving geared elements. I'm nervous the grease will lose viscosity over time and simply leak out. I guess we'll find out.

Je suis agréablement surpris par la qualité de ce Microscope numérique, à vrai dire c’est la première fois que j’en possède un mais c’est super géniale pour observer de très petites particules invisible à l’œil nue 👍. Doté d’un écran couleur ayant une diagonale de 10.1 Pouces qui permet une vision aisé de ce que l’on observe, l’écran dispose de boutons permettant d’accéder aux différents modes et réglages, à l’arrière de l’écran ce trouve également une sortie HDMI qui permet de le connecter à un écran additionnel ainsi qu’une entrée d’alimentation 👍. Il n’a pas été difficile à assembler toutefois il faudra bien serrer les vision aisé sinon cela risquerais de compromettre son bon fonctionnement, doté de 3 éclairage LED dont 2 flexible latérale et 1 sous le plateau inférieur, le plateau peut être orienter de gauche à droite et d’avant en arrière via les petites molettes ce situant sur celui-ci. Il est également doté d’une caméra amovible au format stylo permettant ainsi d’avoir une vue latérale lors d’observation de composants électronique, il est fournie avec 3 tètes à lentilles grossissantes dont 1 tête à triple lentilles / 1 tête à lentilles rapprochées / 1 tête à lentilles éloignées, il est aussi fournie avec une carte Micro SD permettant d’enregistrer ses observation ( à insérer à l’arrière de l’écran ). Également fournie avec une télécommande permettant de le contrôler à distance / différents accessoires / carte Micro SD ( 32 Go ) / échantillon d’observation en plaquettes / câble d’alimentation avec adaptateur murale / câble HDMI vers mini HDMI / une notice d’assemblage et une notice d’instructions non traduites en français. Conclusion je suis super content de ce Microscope numérique car il fonctionne très bien et il me permet d’observer différents sujets tel que l’électronique / les micro organisme biologique / la faune marine, j’aurais tout de même apprécier qu’il soit fournie avec une notice traduite en français afin mieux comprendre ses différents modes car je suis novice à l’usage de ce type d’appareils, malgré tout j’ai réussi à le faire fonctionner mais il me faudra un peut plus de temps pour le maîtriser de manière optimal 👍. Ein Multi-Talent finde ich, da es doch sehr Vielseitig in seiner Anwendung ist, ob als Digitale Lupe/Mikroskop und es ist für jeden sehr gut geeignet der eine Verwendung für so ein Tolles Gerät hat, natürlich auch für unsere Kidds sehr gut geeignet. Die Verarbeitung von diesen Digitalmikroskop AD269S 20X-5000X hier kann sich sehen lassen, der Ständer besteht aus Metall, wie auch seine Beleuchtungselemente inkl. ZusatzCam, sprich es ist schon sehr Robust und somit sorgt es auch für eine viel Präzises Arbeiten! Durch seine gute Verarbeitung (Metall) hat es auch ein sehr gutes Gewicht, dies sorgt natürlich auch für eine viel bessere Standfestigkeit, was super wichtig ist. Es erleichtert mir meine Tätigkeiten enorm, besonders in der Elektronik, endlich ein viel besseres Arbeiten, bin sehr Begeistert von diesen Gerät. Auch als Lupe sehr gut zu nutzen, somit kann ich nun auch das gedruckte auf einen Chip sehr Deutlich lesen, Chip drunter, Licht An, Scharfstellen und ablesen, Mega! Ich benutze es von Zeit zu Zeit, aber ich bevorzuge es, nur professionelle Werkzeuge zu verwenden, mit denen wir zufrieden sind. Dieser gehört definitiv dazu: solide, stabil und von guter Qualität (Herstellung, Bildqualität). Der einzige Punkt, der mich stört: Zum Umschalten zwischen den Anzeigemodi (Hauptkamera, Sekundärkamera oder beides) ist eine Fernbedienung erforderlich. Aber keine große Sache...
