Mirka. With this little pocket master piece I really wonder how I lived my life without it. Expensive but the time it saves in a little well made lump the size of two yorkie chunks stacked delicately on top of each other. Less tasty though. Legendary product.

I used to try to shave down paint runs with a window scraper or similar, with varying degrees of success and was going to buy the Mirka or Festool carbide blade until I saw this. Now, a bit of plastic with a double sided file stuck to a magnet may not seem like a good deal for 30 quid, but I've only had it a day and I'm already kicking myself for not buying one sooner. It is now one of those indispensable tools that you would go straight out and buy again if you broke or lost it.

I returned the item as there was no file attached to the magnet. Just a file holder in packaging that looked like it had been opened before.

I found this to be the ideal weight and balance when planing lacquer on auto paintwork. The plane is sharp enough to gently trim down leaving a level surface to the existing lacquer and ready for machine polishing. Essential addition to a paint correction toolkit

I have watched a car painter to review the device. The usage looked quite simple. When I tried to use it on a drop of dried paint the results differ. Always test in 'low focus area' before using elsewhere.

I’ve been looking for a tool that would help to sand down car touch up paint without causing additional paint scratches. Recently touched up a spot and because it’s a darker blue, I wanted to limit polishing the surrounding area. Using the smooth side I let the weight of the tool apply all the pressure, while slowly gliding it over the peak of the touch up surface. I was nervous at first, but after a few passes I could see that it was only rubbing down the high spot and not causing scratches to surrounding area. However, do want to mention, I did wash and dry the car before using the tool. Not sure how many passes it took, I stopped when the tool started to glide over the paint with no resistance. After that it was a light polish and paint chip was not noticeable. Now I’ve only used this on a flat part of the hood of my car, and can see how it might be more challenging to use on curves or areas where you may need to apply pressure, such as, the side of the car. That said, it worked for my most recent touch up spot and I’m happy with the result.
