Disappointing Experience – Buyer Beware I purchased these translator earbuds with the intention of using them for conversations during video calls, particularly with friends who speak Tagalog. Unfortunately, the product does not support Tagalog translation as advertised, which was a major reason for my purchase. Additionally, the design requires both users to wear an earbud for the device to function properly. This is not only inconvenient but also unhygienic, especially when sharing earbuds with others. Another major letdown is the misleading claim that the device can be used offline for real-time translation. In reality, there is no offline support for Tagalog, which makes this feature practically useless for my needs. Overall, I found the product to be misleading and not worth the investment. I do not recommend it to others, especially if you are looking for Tagalog translation or hygienic, standalone use.

I purchased these earbuds since i have an employee who does not speak english very well and I figured with the free talk mode she would be able to just wear the ear bud(s) and she would be able to join in on the conversation or hear instruction from us, but the ear bud turns off all the time even though it is fully charged or her part of the conversation did not translate each time. Also have to have the tablet or phone with the ear bud app close for it to work. The translation is usually pretty accurate when we do use it and seems to cancel out background noise which our work has a lot of. But all in all not exactly what I was hoping for but does work.

It works well, especially if you intend on using it for translating real-time conversions between you and another, where you both people wait and take turns to speak. However, it's not good for loud places, or if you want to listen to music or watch TV where talking or conversation is quick and more natural. There is a delay (> 0.5 sec) between what is said and the translation so, if someone is speaking and there isn't a long enough pause before speaking begins again then the translator will cut off the translation and start translating the next block of text without finishing the previous translation leaving you with jumbled pieces of conversation. If they fixed the overlapping and cutting off with some sort of short term memory buffer and asynchronous processing this be 5 stars.

I was skeptical as to how well these ear bids would work but I turned on a Netflix movie to give them a dry run. They worked well, especially when the conversations weren't quick exchanges. These will be very helpful on my upcoming trip to Costa Rica, I will be driving there and will need to interact with people that will most likely not speak English. I feel much more confident going there with these earbuds!

I was very excited to receive this and it worked very well when we tested it and for 3 days thereafter. By the end of the third day it was significantly translating incorrectly. Your environment needs to be almost perfect for these to be in the 90% range of correct communication and translation. I do not recommend these for music at all. I also noticed that the software that is used is also used by several including Samsung and Google on their earbuds.

Got these M3 Offline Language Translator Earbuds for my travels, and they're a game-changer! Super easy to use and they nail translations in tons of languages, no internet needed. Perfect for globetrotters like me who love meeting new folks everywhere. Definitely a must-have for seamless communication on your adventures!

Offline Übersetzung kostet... Gutschein funktioniert nicht. Ohne gute Internetverbindung sehr zögerliche oder gar keine Übersetzung. Bisher nicht zufriedenstellend.

If there were a 6 star rating I would give it. This is by far the coolest and most useful product I have reviewed on Amazon. I'll just say this up front. If you can choose between this version and the one with the "offline" 8 languages, get the offline version for about $20 more. These will only work with a live internet (data) connection. You can upgrade to the offline version but it will cost you $100 (one time) or a subscription. The 144 languages are FREE though with the requisite data connection. So without getting technical I was able to chat in English and have it speak back accurately in Vietnamese, French, Dutch in either my earpiece (so I can say it out loud), or you can use the phone and it will speak it to the other person (probably better if your pronunciation is a bit weak). They can then speak to you in their native language and you get the response in your earbud! You can also share earbuds and have them translate back and forth in real time to each other! Very impressed! There are 4 modes in total, allowing for lots of flexibility. My favourite is the free talk mode. With this mode, you can just have the earbuds in and it will translate anything it overhears in the language you selected. Great for when you are surrounded by a bunch of people speaking the same (foreign) language. You will be able to understand everything they are saying with about a 1 second delay (which is tolerable when you get used to it). Can't say enough good things about this! Except maybe splurge for the offline version up front! My life would have been so much different (easier!) during my 38 country tour backpacking around the world. Although the language barrier provided an insane number of hilarious and long lasting memories!
