This is the self-titled debut by Abraxis from - not Cleveland, but Australia. Abraxis play Holy Terror-style hardcore A.K.A metallic hardcore HEAVILY influenced by the great Integrity. These fellas appear to be high on potential, but don't like to show off their skills much. This album is almost 30 minutes long. Out of the 30 minutes, about 12 minutes of it is actual music. 2 minutes are cover (Abraxas Annihilation off Humanity Is The Devil). The rest is intro/ambient/noise/filler/samples/wasted space/outro.Nowadays, there are several bands playing Holy Terror hardcore, an awesome genre of music, and Abraxis are good at it. But hopefully next recording, we'll get more out of it.So if you want to know what they sound like and are too lazy to sample some MP3s, here ya go... For fans of: Integrity, Pale Creation, older Anticops, Living Hell, Rot In Hell (also an Integrity clone, which is a good thing), New Lows.Frequency Deleted Records- Jay in Texas

Great Belgian jazz rock
Abraxis was a Belgian jazz-rock band led by keyboardist Charles Loos (formerly and also to return to Belgian Canterbury outfit Cos). Things here are flute led and on the mellow side of things for the most part (except on 'Jeronimo' and 'Bolle Winkel' where the band cuts loose a bit). Chops abound and the melodies are great, plenty of soloing by flute, guitar and keys throughout, plenty of chops here, also. Recommended for those who like somewhat mellower jazz mixed with a bit of Canterbury flavor.
