I like this jig saw.

love my porter cable tools. easy to use, cuts great, easy to use. i store all of them in a keeter rolling tool box. individual tool cases would be nice though.durable and dependable. fits in the hand well and perfect design.

Love this saw. It has become one of my new favorite tools. Lightweight but powerful. Really makes the job a breeze. First project was cutting laminate flooring with it and it worked so well. I loved how it is so portable. Makes it easy to carry around. Very easy to handle. And I like that it has different speed settings.

...mine came new and ready to go. So...in with a scroll blade, on with a battery, started whittling down some 1/2" cabinet-grade maple ply. Two things I noticed: (a) even with the roller-type blade guide, the blade tended to tilt just as much as with my 30YO B&D with no such guide, and (b) the whole thing has to "kite" to the left a bit to cut a straight line...I can't use a fence-guide to make straight cuts. I gotta undo the blade-holder from the reciprocating drive-shaft, examine it closely and if nothing's wrong in the holder, I have to shim the left joint between said blade holder & recip-shaft with feeler gauge stock until I get a true cut. Only other gripe: it uses up battery power quickly. Can use better blowing power from its fan. But all told, I'd rather use a worn-out Porter Cable tool than a brand-new DeWalt tool. I speak from experience.

After having purchased ALL the porter cable 20v MAX lithium tools, and having used them from a range to very demanding, to extremely simple tasks, which involves routinely using them well past their intended run times and overall stress tolerances, I feel I can now make a justified review, based on their performances over the course of roughly a year.The Porter Cable 20V MAX PCC650 Jig saw is an exceptional tool that I have used hundreds of times throughout the course of the time I've owned it. The overall construction of the tool is very exceptional, especially given the price point. The handle is very comfortable like all the Porter Cable 20V MAX tools, it feels very similar to the PCC640 or PCC600 Impact or Drill respectively, except laid down 90 degrees.The Jig saw features a 3 mode Oscillation feature which controls whether the saw cuts very fast but not as clean, medium speed and medium cleanliness, or slow but very clean, all this is subject to the type, and quality of blades you are using of course (uses T shank blades). The angle adjustment is very simple to use, you just loosen the hex head fastener with the included allen wrench (has storage slot on saw) and adjust the angle the way you want. It also has a positive locking slot that allows you to quickly bring the saw back to a 90 degree cut.The trigger (on this and all variable speed tools in the lineup) is the perfect combination of sensitive and responsive. You have the ability to fully press the trigger for max speed, but you can also slightly press it for slow speed operation. I used the Jigsaw in tons of projects, from cutting very thin material, to cutting light gauge steel, to cutting huge cutouts out of homemade counter tops for 20 minutes straight and the saw never once complained.Keeping in mind that the tool is more "constant use" than say a drill or something where you drive the fastener/drill the hole and then stop, it does very well as far as battery life is concerned. In actuality it will seem as if it eats through it, but again that's because its constantly going when you're cutting. I have alleviated this issue by using one of my 4.0 amphr battery packs exclusively in this saw. You can definitely get by, by using a smaller battery, even the smallest 1.2 amphr battery would work fine.All in all the Porter Cable PCC650 20V MAX Jigsaw is a great tool, especially for the money. This little outfit is the cats ass, wish I had it this past summer working on my wafa-too- she. My waterfall shed. I didn’t have a pig where I could plug my miter saw and sander and jigsaw in so it was constantly unplug this, plug that in. THEN, when I took it out to modify my deer blind, it worked flawlessly, I would definitely recommend buying this product!!!

I love the quick change blade feature. I have not had any problem with the blade coming loose. Has plenty of power.
