This is an absorbing book.
This is an absorbing book; I would definitely recommend it. Dr Morgan writes in a style which, especially if like me, you don't have a scientific or medical background, is easy to read. I found it inspirational and I enjoyed learning new facts. New respect for the animal kingdom.

Enjoyable content but synthesis difficult
I found this book enjoyable as an ICU doctor but I’m not sure the attempt to wind a series of separate interesting physiological stories around a continuous narrative worked.

Very interesting book.
Very readable, lots of really interesting medical advances made by observing and studying animal behaviours and coping mechanisms.Thoroughly recommend reading this book.

Wow - Such A Wonderfully insightful look at human medicine
I literally cannot put this book down; it is so interesting! You can read it like a novel or dip in and out of different chapters.Dr Matt Morgan's writing style is easy to follow. You will be amazed at what animals can teach us about human medicine.
