I was having vram issues and thought that maybe it could be a CPU Issue so I got this to make sure even pressure was distributed around the chip the red dram light has turned off since installing the contact frame it was very easy to install following the steps of leaving the CPU in place unscrewing the 4 screws and then dropping in the contact frame no difference in cooling but it seem to make the dram issue go away for now will update later if issue returns but in anycase it would not be the contact frames fault so I would recommend this to anyone looking to secure there then 7000 series CPU it fit perfectly on my 7600x the price was incredible for what was received and it looks great to bad the cooling fan covers it up.

Fits perfectly on my AM5 setup with a Gigabyte Aorus X870 Mobo, and Ryzen 7 7700. It also made thermal paste application much easier and cleaner. I really like how it cleans up the appearance of the system, looking much nicer than the OE retention bracket. I haven't noticed any difference in temps vs. the old retention bracket, but overall this is very high quality and worth every penny.

This secure frame from Thermalright works on any AM5 motherboard. I prefer it because not only is the mounting pressure more even (less likely to result in a warped or bent CPU) but it also makes thermal paste application and clean up quick and easy.

It does what I wanted it to do. It fit perfectly. As far as temps go, this will not improve them. That has nothing to do with Thermalright's design, though. Contact frames do not improve AM5 temps because they don't bend like the Intel CPUs do. I had one for an Intel CPU in the past and it decreased temps by like 5º. The reason I purchased this was for thermal paste spreading. It prevents spillover from getting into hard to clean areas. I also like the look of it even though it's invisible after mounting my cooler. It was very east to install and doesn't even require instructions if you understand PC building. While this isn't a must have accessory, I think it provides benefits if you plan on reposting your CPU in the future.

I use these "stiffenrs" where ever I can. They appear very solid and capable of many positive purposes. Heat transfer, cooling fan stabilizer and of course flex reducer.

perfect fit for my 9950x3d CPU

Holds down CPU just fine, but did not align perfectly with top surface of the CPU. Some versions came with a gasket, this one did not. Works 95% as intended.

Installed perfectly and cleans up the appearance.

I was hesitant to buy this one because some online reviews said it doesn’t quite fit the AM5 9000 series CPUs. But make no mistake — it fits my 9950X perfectly.
