As the title states, it's 40 years since Derby County last won the League Championship. This set consists of 15 caricature cards and is very much in the style of the set I produced some years ago of their previous league title win under Brian Clough. (Also available through Amazon). Those included in the 15 are:- COLIN BOULTON, COLIN TODD, DAVID NISH, PETER DANIEL, BRUCE RIOCH, ARCHIE GEMMILL, HENRY NEWTON, RON WEBSTER, KEVIN HECTOR, ROGER DAVIES, FRANCIS LEE, ROD THOMAS, STEVE POWELL, JEFF BOURNE and manager DAVE MACKAY (with the Championship Trophy). All the above come with player biographies on the reverse, apart from Dave Mackay's, which has the final league table on the back. The cards are placed within a green card mount, which is then sandwiched between two clear sheets of a glass like material called Styrene. This is virtually unbreakable. This 'sandwich is then framed within the wood frame. The 12 inch x 12 inch frame comes complete with hanging hooks and string. The item is then boxed, wrapped in bubble wrap and brown parcel paper, ready for dispatch.
