I had to rewire my antique chandelier a few months ago and used these sockets. They are much sturdier than the ones with thin metal with the cardboard liners. These don't have switches attached, so they are more appropriate for chandeliers than lamps. The old sockets in the chandelier were from the early 20th century, so over a hundred years ago. These screwed in nice and tight and didn't deform like the cheap metal ones. They made the job of rewiring the chandelier much easier than it would have been without them.

They work with the rechargeable light bulbs…no wiring needed they just screw on light pole on teacup lamps I make

The light sockets work, but the fittings are extremely loose and the light bulb will just jiggle around.

We live in a historic house which has many different pieces of hardware made of bakelite, so these are an excellent match. I replaced many of our original metal sockets when I replaced knob and tube wiring. They are very easy to wire because they screw together. Much easier than modern metal sockets that are held together by compression. Less expensive as well.
