This item is perfect for converting rusty items. It does require several coats but certainly does the job.

Great Product Very Effective
Very Easy to use and does what it says on the Bottle (Choose your language ) Paint it on and leave it. Works very well and leaves a Black finish which can be painted as required.

It does what it says on the tin
Used it to remove rust on a heavy rusted bike that I left in the garage for more than 10 years, and it has rust on the painted surface of the frame and handlebar. The Ferro-bet Rust Remover neutralised and removed rust as it says on the label, but it is not as magical as it looks in the product photos. It does not flatten the rusted surface for example. That left me with two options, either flatten the surface with steel wool and repaint it or just leave it as it is. In the end, I left it as it is not worth spending more time repainting it, which will look different from the original bike and defeat the purpose of trying to restore it to its original look.

Amazing...but don't get it on you.
I've used stuff like fertan, jenolite and kurust with varying success, but this stuff absolutely blows them away! I've used it on steel wheels that looked like they'd spent some time at the bottom of the sea, trailer sides, various brackets etc and the rust just dissolved! It fizzes up on contact and leaves a white reside that doesn't jet wash off easily, but I've painted over it and no rust has come back through. Left a bit of a red burn where it dripped on my hand - gloves and goggles are highly recommended.

Works well
Bought this to spray on the back axle of my Fiat Panda a known problem area. It was easy to spray and quickly covered all the rusty parts . I thought it was a complete product but reading the instructions on receiving, it seems it needs a further top coat of paint or protection. Having said that the brown rusty parts had changed to a darker colour and ideal for receiving a finishing coat. I bought a tin of black smooth Hammerite spray to finish it off and so far no signs of any more rust.
