Elements seem good but get a better deep socket element wrench
The included element wrench will not work well with old elements that are hard to remove like mine were. Use a 1/2-Inch Drive 38mm Deep Impact Socket with 6-Point Design, Hex Deep Socket with an impact wrench instead and they'll come right out. Will not need the draining guide board if you completely drain the tank. The elements checked out electrically, but the control board in old GE hot water heater was shot so I returned elements and bought a new HWH which uses different elements.

Turn off breaker,
Drain heater first, add teflon tape to fitting before installing
