"&"lsquo;PULSE"&"rsquo;, originally released in 1995, was compiled by James Guthrie, using various performances from the band"&"rsquo;s 1994 Division Bell tour across the UK and Europe featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. The album includes "&"lsquo; The Dark Side of the Moon"&"rsquo; performed in full live, as well as a whole side dedicated to the show"&"rsquo;s encore."&"nbsp; The 4-LP set includes four different inner sleeves, each inside individual outer sleeves, plus a 52-page hardback photo book, all encased in a thick card slipcase."&"nbsp; This 2018 release was remastered from the original tapes by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman. Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis and Peter Curzon, who worked on the original art with the late Hipgnosis co-founder, Storm Thorgerson, recreated the art package. Review: Amazing vinyl recording, definitely worth it. Book a bit disappointing - I had no "need" to buy this, as a I have PULSE in tremendous high resolution. But the price was too good to miss. Glad I pulled the trigger. This concert recording sounds amazing on vinyl. The bottom end especially comes through powerfully. On some tracks, like "Sorrow", "One Of These Days," "Time," and "Run Like Hell," my fillings were shaking a bit. Wonderful stuff. It's just fantastic, that is really what I think ... I'm surprised at the quality of many of the images in the book, specifically live shots from a distance (band "portraits" are fine). It's almost as if no one could find the negatives so they just blew up the images from the old CD booklet and called it good (this book is in fact almost identical to the CD book). Review: fast delivery to Israel - Very good product and fast delivery.

The music gets 5 stars; the vinyl & book get 4 stars
The music of course is 5-stars. How's the vinyl? My first copy had problems on two of the four discs. Amazon is great about replacing defective records and sent me a new copy before I had to return the old one. The new copy isn't perfect, either. So, I kept the best disc from each set and sent the bad ones back. Otherwise, the pressing is good. The discs are flat enough with far lower than average surface noise. The mastering is very good - I can't tell if it is indeed mastered from the original analog tapes or if there's some digital mastering, like in the 2009 Beatles remasters. But in any event, the mastering sounds very good - except on side 1 of disc 1, which to my ears doesn't sound quite as good as the rest of the set. One last thing: the included book is hard-bound, the size of a record, and contains mostly photos from the concert. Many of these photos are grainy--they look like low-resolution images blown up to a large size. That's unfortunate. But they are colorful and I'm happy to have them. The book itself is nicely done.

Sublime Vinyl, Artwork and Mastering!!!
Pink Floyd has been on quite a roll of late. With Their Mortal Remains exhibit, The Early Years Box set, and releasing all their studio albums remastered on vinyl. Now they begin the task of releasing the live recordings and compilations on vinyl. So far I have been extremely impressed with everything that has come out, including the Mono version of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn LP which came out on record store day. Pulse has always been one of my favorite live albums and this release is by far the most elaborate releases Pink Floyd has put out on vinyl to date. The pressings are pristine and the box comes with exquisite artwork and photographs. The booklet states that this is a analog recording, and it sounds magnificent. The sound just blows the CD completely out of the water. If you are a Pink Floyd fan I highly recommend this vinyl version of this beautiful live album. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. If you are not yet into vinyl yet, and you love Pink Floyd, this record is your best place to start. Worth every dollar.

I mean, Wow.
At times the sound is so holographic that it seems to be coming from behind me or around me with only 2 speakers - although they are particularly good speakers and a good stereo and of course a good turntable and a real nice Sumiko Moonstone sylus & cartridge for the turntable.

Excellent sounding album
I have always liked Pink Floyd and to get this album on Vinyl was a long dream of mine. The mix of new music and a live performance of DSOTM is exactly what you need some nights. The vinyl on here sounds great and is made of heavyweight 180g vinyl. Yes, you need to get up and flip the record over and switch the records, but they are designed in such a way that the mood changes from the music when you do so. The warm sound of the music is awesome and Pink Floyd music is timeliness. If you like Pink Floyd and have an LP player, get this.

This review refers to the vinyl box set… What an awesome package. The now legendary final concert tour by Pink Floyd is captured for posterity and released across four slabs of heavyweight vinyl. This is the 2018 reissue on Pink Floyd Records and has faithfully reproduced all the elements from the original 1995 box set. The set of records come in a solid slipcover case and there is also a 52 page hardcover book. The only thing missing was a digital download but then that means you’ll probably buy the cd set as well. A very impressive vinyl box set from Pink Floyd.
