Get this band!
This is the second band Ive purchased from the Step Counter and LOVE the bands. I needed o replace the first because the mesh was coming lose and I was worried about losing my tracker. This new design solved that problem. Thank s had a snap function that is very secure and enclosed the unit. I've never had issues with the snaps. You can clean in a washer or hand wash I personally handwash. I do not recommend sleeping with the unit because the sheet my my ankle is wore thin with my previous band (very similar material and design) and I'm not making the same mistake with this band.My only suggestion for improvement would be different band colors for this design (they'll be coming I'm sure) and perhaps have a Velcro option vs the snap.

Nice band; inconvenient to put the Fitbit into the pocket
It's really kind of a trick to get the Fitbit into this band. For a band this size, I think the pocket could have been made quite a lot easier to access and even large enough to get the less bulky of Fitbit bands into. On the plus side, your Fitbit is absolutely not going to fall out of or wear through the band. There's zero chance of that. This band will fit you unless you're very small. I have it all the way down to the smallest size. My ankle circumference is pretty normal for a woman of healthy weight. I could wear it a couple of snaps looser if necessary and it wouldn't be a problem, so I think that even if you're small, this will likely work for you. You would have to have very large ankles for this band to be too small.I don't know how much I'm going to use this, sadly. It's very challenging to get the Fitbit into it at all. I mostly wanted it for use on my treadmill so I can type on my laptop while I use the treadmill, but that means kind of a hassle in taking off the wrist band and especially in getting the Fitbit into the ankle band. It's really convoluted, that process. I think the designer wanted to make darned good and sure the Fitbit was absolutely NOT going to fall out. It fits the HR, but it would not fit the larger higher-end Fitbits. I know it'll be easier now that I've figured out how to do it, and more-so as the stitching relaxes a bit, but I kind of think I'm going to end up putting the Fitbit, band and all, into my sock or my pocket like I've always done. Either that or I'll break down and sew one for myself (which I've been resisting).Having said all that, I have to point out that this band is VERY well-constructed from good quality fabric and snaps. I just don't think it's terribly well-designed.

The BEST for counting all your steps!
I love this thing! Now I can continue to count my steps, even when pushing the grocery cart or walking/running on the treadmill. It's very comfortable, and has lots of snaps to accommodate anyone's ankle size. The little pocket that holds the fitbit is also quite secure and could hold all different kinds of fitbits (my little fitbit2 fits with lots of room to spare).

but the things I didn't like about the original version are worse with this version
I am confused! This is the updated version of this Step Counter band. I realize we are all different :), but the things I didn't like about the original version are worse with this version. I like to be able to see my steps on the counter w/o removing it from the band. And, I was hoping the updated version would have looked less like a house arrest bracelet, not more. If there ever is a version #3, please consider a stronger mesh pocket (although i still have not had any problems with my original) so we can easily slip the counter in and out, and see the #'s w/o removing it. Also, please consider the slimmest band possible...just wide enough to hold the smallest reliable snaps possible. Also, consider making a light brown, medium brown, and dark brown version. Thanks for reading!

Awesome Strap - Works Perfect for a Charge 2
This thing is amazing! After going through close to 10 alternate strap/extenders, I finally settled on this one. I use a FitBit Charge 2. Yes, it is a royal pain to get it in the pouch, but there's no way that sucker is coming out once it's in there. I've tested it to water resistance (i.e., you get caught in a rainstorm or step into a puddle), but would not recommend to wear to a waterpark or anything unless you have a waterproof device. It's comfortable and stays in place with no irritation. I often forget that I'm wearing it until I go to look at my wrist and my FitBit isn't there, it's still on my ankle! Highly, highly recommend! If I had to choose a 'con', I'd say that it would be nice to have some alternative colors other than black.

to long to wear on my wrist but great for my ankle
Im really impressed with how secure the little compartment is for the Fitbit. I have the Charge 2 HR and I don't care about the HR part of it, it will not read anyones HR at all while in the pouch. I wear an apple watch anyways but wanted another option to wear my Fitbit too. Mainly I use it just to keep up with my friends in the Fitbit app. I bought the large/xl and its long, to long to wear on my wrist but great for my ankle. I have an 11 inch ankle and there are still many snaps left over. Wish I had bought the Medium but whatever. If you read this posting, The Step Counter, I would love to exchange it!! But if not, no worries at all. Love the product.

This is perfect for my Vivofit 1
This is perfect for my Vivofit 1. I thought I might prefer velcro over the snaps but I find I really like the snaps better. The strap is very comfortable. I snap it loosely around my ankle, put my socks over it, and I'm good to go. I don't even take my VF out of the strap as I am able to sync it without doing so. A nice benefit is that I ride my bicycle. With my VF on my ankle, it counts my pedals adding to my step count. Is that cheating? If you want to stop wearing your pedometer on your wrist, I recommend this product.

Comfortable, easy to use and secure
Loving this band for the days that I don't want to wear it on my wrist for whatever reason. It seems to count accurately. It's comfortable and easy to put on, can position around my ankle or up further on my calf under my pants at work and no one knows. I can also feel the vibrations when I get call and text alerts via my Fitbit Flex 2, so I like that I haven't lost that feature when I wear this band. I also like that the little pouch where the tracker device is inserted has a snap to stay closed - I feel like it's very secure and there's no potential of it slipping out and being lost. All around great band!

Does the job
I got this strap in order to wear my Fitbit charge hr on my ankle rather than on my wrist.I detached the strap for my Fitbit and undid the ankle band. The band works via the use of poppers which can be adjusted to the size of your ankle. The fits fine over my jeans for use in the house. The inside of the band holds the fitness tracker in a small internal pouch. A popper holds the tracker in place. My only reason for 4 stars is down to the pouch. The stitching is sewn over the top of the pouch meaning that it doesn't fully open. You can't easily fit the tracker into the pouch and have to fight with it a little to get the tracker in. A proper flap with popper would have been better but ideally Velcro to keep it secure would have sufficed.Overall it does what I need it to but getting it in and out the pouch to chec steps can prove difficult and fiddly.

Excellent
I bought this as my Flex2 does not measure correctly when on a static bike.It fits perfect around my ankle and counts those steps/pedals and also good on the wrist if necessary.
