For me, this is a great little grip for your S9.
This fits the S9 perfectly. Is it the best grip you can get? I don't know, I've not tried them all but I have tried this, it works, I like it, it suits me.

Fits well, and is well made. The small size results in minimal bulk while improving the grip.

This grip is the perfect fit for the LUMIX S9….just the right amount of weight to it and it makes for a sturdier camera.The finger grip to the front is just the right size for my chunky fingers.

Superb build quality
Fits the Panasonic S9 like a glove. This is an essential accessory for the camera and improves it handling by quite a large margin. Recommend without hesitation.

Improved grip but with a thick base.
Gives a small improvement to grip on the camera but at the expense of making the camera taller. I’d also have liked either a much slimmer baseplate or additional 1/4 and/or 3/8” threaded hole in the current thickness of plate.
