A good Lab book
I got this for my daughter to keep lab notes for our forensics unit this year. It is a hardback but the cover is not a rigid hardback and there is some flexibility to it. There is a table of contents and each page is clearly marked. The paper quality is decent but not thick so I suspect some felt tipped pens might bleed through. Each page is a grid/graph design, not lined so I think it will work well for notes as well as sketches. Overall, I like the book, but the $21 price tag is a bit much for what you get.

Fine notebook
I like this notebook and how its form factor is more book than notebook, even down to the little ribbon bookmark. The inside cover has some helpful tips and best practices printed in it. There's a few pages for a table of contents even.Mine came slightly warped and with some lightly crushed corners, I think that was from shipping and handling though. What I don't believe was from that was the nauseating chemical smell when I took it out of its plastic--it made me gag and even made my fingers smell! Whatever it is, it's quite volatile because after sitting out in the open air for 6 hours or so, it mostly went away. Some cheat sheet pages with scientific units/constants and such would have been a nice addition.
