I love this kit. For anyone who shares my nostalgia for Johnny 5 from the original movies, this will be a sure hit. I was surprised by how large he was and the functionality for the price is excellent. He has a remote and you can also control its the smartphone app although the app is not very user friendly. If I had to give one bit of critical feedback regarding the kit design, it is that his rear wheels are cosmetic and conceal a ball bearing, rather than swiveling as in the design. Otherwise though, the build does an incredible job of making him look lifelike at this scale, and having a remote controlled version that can actually drive around is very fun. Be aware though, he's not all-terrain at all- due to a lack of suspension he vibrates a lot when moving around, doesn't have a lot of power or stability to get over obstacles, and he's quite slow too. I think of him more as posable display model than a toy, and the play features are just a nice-to-have bonus. If you have those same expectations, he will not disappoint!

This was fun putting together. Maybe there was an update made to the instructions but they were easy for me. Pretty detailed as to what goes where. The colors were a bit hard to tell which colored part was needed because in the booklet the light blue and gray look the same pretty much. Unless that's a big deal to u it may ne a problem. But im not too picky. Had every piece present and got it together and took it for a spin. Definitely worth every penny and better then lego as I'm sure they'd charge 250 or something. Overall a great buy for me personally and it was a blast putting it together and just to see it forming the further along u get is so awesome. I definitely recommend.

This kit is great. It arrived on time and in great condition. Instructions were great and the pieces fit almost perfectly. There were a few pieces that didn't match up great, especially around the neck area. Otherwise, it took a bit of time to assemble because there were lots of pieces involved. It was worth the effort because it looked and worked great after completed. Even if it isn't the exact replica of the movie, it is still close enough for the fans of Johnny 5. I highly recommend this kit for those with patience and to keep memories of Johnny 5 Alive!!!

First. The only reasons I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars was because there were two pieces, critical pieces that were missing and the delicacy of this figure is extremely apparent throughout the build. The neck was challenging as I was trying to line up the proper holes for the specific pegs while at the same time not breaking off the gear built into the neck that turns the head when motorized. The amount of small pieces was also a challenge. At times it felt like it would never end. There was a large cylindrical section missing from the laser build. This caused me to remove a cylinder piece from the right side pack and replace it with a smaller red cylinder piece which ended up working well. Without the cylinder piece, you can complete the laser build. Parts of it feel solid while other areas feel very fragile so be careful especially if you have kids or pets that love knocking stuff over. Once finished, the look and color of the figure is pretty amazing. I haven’t tried the electronics yet but I will soon. It’s a great and challenging set and the price is pretty awesome. I’m curious what changes that “Lego” would make if they ever sponsored this. I should mention the arms move as well as the fingers, head and laser cannon. Could it be fun for kids? Sure but to me it’s more an adult collector from an iconic 80s film.

I would of loved to been able to review the product however it was missing parts and not able to complete. What was able to build however was low quality and came apart easily. Would not of lasted long.

Fine it to be a good model but instructions could be better printed especially the color they are too much alike to tell apart thought I was missing parts but they were different color
