I tested the accuracy and it works really well. I am bit paranoid about humidity and temperature in my room and office hence very useful product for me. Easy to use as no setup etc needed. Size is as expected, readable from 10 foot easily.

Update:Ordeered second time and it's not good like the original order. The quality degraded.Pros:1. Clearly visible from like 10 feet away.2. I think accuracy is good as I have the similar product with bad accuracy. I compared this with 2 hygrometers in which one was of Rs. 999 ThermoPro.Cons:1. There was no user manual.2. User manual available on the product detail page of this item in PDF format is full of mistakes like Humidity is written as 'Humanity', Which is written as 'Witch'. Very bad English. One cannot get the instructions written.3. We dont know what is the refresh duration for temperature and humidity. Refresh duration means like in Hygrometer by ThermoPro claims ''Digital indoor thermometer refreshes every 10 seconds to keep you updated about the latest changes in temperature and humidity readings''.Additional information: The first one was defective and showed wrong temperature (compared to my Haier AC) and other correct Hygrometer.Replacement peice was good. This entire review is about replacement peice.

I bought this item mostly on the basis of the price and also on a large number of favourable reviews. I don't know the quality of items received by those who wrote the reviews, but in my case, I got a total rip-off. Firstly, the package seemed to have been opened previously with a lot of dirty finger marks on both the front and back. The item was immediately clear to be of very inferior quality. The three controls on the front were quite difficult to see with both the lettering as well as the button itself being all white. Worst of all, when I inserted the battery, it became obvious that the display was defective with some of the elements of the LCD not lighting up. Mysteriously, the back contained a piece of plastic with some fragments of what appeared to be LCD elements (as shown in the attached photo), though this may have possibly been the original stick on cover.I immediately ordered a replacement and got a message the same night that it had been delivered, but I never received it. As the replacement was supposed to have been delivered based on my returning the original delivery, I can only wonder what happened. I have provided all this in my delivery feedback, but am yet to hear from either the seller or Amazon.This has been my personal experience and others may not have faced similar problems, but I felt I should provide this feedback as a warning to other prospective buyers, who may be similarly lured by the price.

I bought it 2 years ago. I think I changed it battery once, still working fine.

UPDATE 15 May 2019 It has started showing display issues after almost one year of use. Going to buy another one.UPDATE 26 Jan 2019 The hygrometer still works pretty good. The room temperature and humidity readings are pretty good. The time does slack by a couple of mins here and there, but I'm not using it for its clock function. Still happy with the purchase.22 May 2018 This is a really good hygrometer. The reviews saying that the clock display is small,etc, etc need to get a clock. It clearly mentions the dimensions of the hygrometer on the description and I'm pretty sure most people can imagine the size. Of course there could be a problem with the unit itself, but certainly not its functioning.Coming back to the hygrometer, I received the one with 3 buttons and no screen backlight (hence one star less). The functions like alarm, temperature, humidity work fine. The back stand has a small black button that changes temps from Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa. Takes about 10 mins to understand the settings but it's not too tough. Overall a good purchase. They are available at the roadsides but you cannot return if the product comes out faulty on the streets, lol

Initially I was in the impression that it is showing 3deg C higher than the actual. but when compared with professional grade instrument , which is being used at office , it was within 0.5 deg C temperaure and 1 %. humidity​. it also running time accurately.It has cleared my doubts about the window ac that weather it is maitaining the set temp or not, but we found that ac is ok. I have to set ac temp to 28 deg C for better comfort, instead of 25 deg c to avoid chill. In case fridge it was showing 5 deg c at veg zoneand-13.5 deg C in deep fridge zone (caution: it is kept in approx sealed polythene bag before putting into fridge, opened only after reaching room temp to avoid extra condensation of moisture in air) .Overall great satisfaction.
