App and Bluetooth make this universal remote the easiest I have used. No cords, just put in Make andModel and it works the first time. Very satisfied.

Apparently the double-clicking started up after a new firmware update (per reddit) but afaik there has been no update put out yet to fix the issue. Sometimes programming buttons is confusing--apparently for the button to go back to the previous screen or menu, I had to use "Return" instead of "Back" (it refused to learn that button from the original remote, for some reason)? It also occasionally becomes non-responsive for no apparent reason.I got this to make my mom's life a little easier, but it just drives her insane! If they would fix the double-clicking bug with a new firmware update I might add another star back on, but that particularly really makes things difficult (imagine hitting "pause" only for it to immediately start playing again....ugh).

The database of products for download to the remote needs a lot of effort to update it for key functionality. For example, I had to almost fully re-program each key for a standard TiVO remote. The available (user provided) Roku remote will not cursor to the right and I could not program keys for that. AV receivers were okay, but the list of keys programmed were incomplete. I was not able to download any Sony Blu Ray player.Updated Stars! : I worked with Sofabaton to properly use their easy bluetooth-connection method of downloading product codes via an iphone, ipad, or Android device for the remote buttons, and most of my home theater components work great with their factory-provided code database! Thank you Sofabaton for showing me the way!

The buttons are wildly inconsistent. Sometimes they're hyper sensitive and double press, other times they don't register. Learning from another remote seems to be shaky too. I had a U1 before but had to replace it when the frame cracked, the U2 definitely has better build quality but the functionally is lacking.

Extremely complicated and nearly impossible to program.It's not what they claim, and it's more difficult to program than it's worth.It may work for millennials or tech heads, but for the average older user, it's way above my technical skill level.

Programming this remote was challenging, to say the least. The initial method I tried of pointing the old remotes at the new remote did not work. I became so frustrated I almost returned it to Amazon.I finally was able to program it by inputting the model numbers of the old remotes into .the app. However, the app did not have the model number for my Marantz audio receiver in its database. So, I had to contact customer service for them to include it.The remote works fairly well now, but it was a nosebleed to get it operational.

Great programmable remote to replace ones that don't have individual number buttons. Great chat support to resolve recommended codes to use. Definitely recommend this product.

I was looking for a secondary all in one remote because I'm always losing mine, and this one looked like it would fit the bill! I put the batteries in (which have lasted a long time now), and downloaded the app, told it the two items I wanted to control, and it just worked! So we'll, in fact, I haven't gone back to discover what else it can do! The fact it can control multiple devices makes it a great value! It was so easy to set up with the app and it's a great size so I won't lose it! It's got a scroll wheel that lets you choose your device, and that window lights up, which is very nice! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I'd love for ALL the buttons to be backbiting. Other than that, works perfectly!
