Reliable Thunderbolt 4 Performance
The Silkland USB4 cable is an absolute beast of a cable—fast, reliable, and built to last. I’m using it with a Thunderbolt 4 dock and my MacBook Pro, and it delivers on every promise: 40Gbps data transfer, 240W power delivery, and crisp 8K video output. Transfer speeds are lightning quick—I can move large project files and media in seconds. Video performance is flawless, with smooth 8K and 6K output at 60Hz and no flicker or dropouts. On the charging side, the 240W PD support means my laptop and other high-power devices charge quickly and efficiently. The build quality is excellent—the cable feels durable with reinforced ends, and the connectors fit snugly with no wiggle. At 4FT, it’s the perfect length: long enough for flexible setups without being messy. This is the kind of cable you buy once and trust for all your high-end devices—Thunderbolt docks, external SSDs, monitors, and laptops. If you want pro-grade performance in a sturdy cable, the Silkland USB4 is a fantastic choice.

Sturdy, Fast, and Great Size Options
Nice sturdy cable with excellent data transfer speeds and reliable performance. It’s great that they offer different lengths so you can get the perfect fit for your setup and keep everything looking clean and organized. Delivers on its 40Gbps speed and 240W fast charging as advertised — high quality all around and works exactly as expected.

Super High Quality
I was looking for alternatives for Thunderbolt cables and this was one of the main candidates. UGreen, Anker, and Apple were some of my considerations. I tried this company out of certain specifications I was looking for. Short length, to minimize space, maximum speed and wattage, and overall quality. Seeing the specifications, they met every mark I required. I've tested the power bandwidth by charging my Anker Prime Power Bank 27,650 mAh. It reached between 150-160 watts charing speeds from my Anker Prime 8 in 1 charging station. Read and Write from my G-Force and Samsung S7 SSDs to and from my 2025 MacBook Air M4 were significantly faster than my Belkin Thunderbolt 3. The cable is thick and dense and not as malleable as expected, which in turns tells me the quality is there. The connectors are very nice quality and insert nice and smooth. Overall, another company I would definitely rely on for high quality cables. I bought two for both my SSDs. I would definitely recommend them as they are compatible with many products I own and are extremely versatile and significantly more affordable than others.

Good USB-IF certified cable with some configuration issues
This 1.2m cable is one of the longest 40Gbps 240W passive USB-IF certified cables on the market. At the time of writing it is priced at about $20. This cable is USB-IF certified, meaning at has been tested by a USB Forum approved test facility and adheres to all the required performance characteristics of a 40Gbps 240W cable. Far from all cables are qualified this way. This cable also correctly identifies itself as a Thunderbolt cable and will correctly function with all your Thunderbolt 3/4 devices. It will also function properly as a video cable (carries DisplayPort Alt Mode data). As an added bonus, since this is a passive cable (no active circuitry to re-transmit high speed signals) it is expected to be fully compatible with future 80Gbps and 120Gbps USB4 modes! As for construction, the outer material is a cloth braid and has an adequate amount of flexibility for a 40Gbps cable. The cable insertion force is on the lower side but the retention force feels high enough so the connection is secure. Cable Vbus+GND resistance is measured to be about 125mΩ - plenty of margin left from the 150mΩ specification limit for 5A (240W) cables! My issue: the emarker contains some inaccurate information (but this should not affect performance). - The USB Vendor ID field is set to 0x2E99 (11929 decimal) which is Hynetek's VID, but it should be 0x3678 (13944 decimal) for Silkland's VID. - The Cert Stat VDO field is set to 0x23A5 (9125 decimal) which corresponds to the Test ID for the Hynetek HUSB332D emarker chip, which is the emarker used in this cable. It should be set to the XID assigned by the USB-IF to this cable: 0x281C (10268 decimal). - The Product VDO field is blank. This could have allowed Silkland to program a unique identifying value and release number to this cable to track future cables that potentially address the above issues. These issues shouldn't have made it past the certification process or Silkland's engineering department in my opinion. I have contacted Silkland directly, and support claims they will update the cable programming in future batches but they are unable to send me a sample as evidence. Also, note that only the 1m and 1.2m versions of this cable are USB-IF certified.

Great quality
Bought this specifically for the shorter cord. I needed something that would transfer files to my phone/computer from my camera. The perfect size for on the go and the braided cords seem very durable. They never included a Velcro “zip-tie” which is handy for keeping everything together and tidy in my purse

Excellent Thunderbolt-quality cable. Used this 40 Gbps USB4 / Thunderbolt 3–supported cable with my iMac 2017 (Thunderbolt 3 via USB-C port) and an external NVMe enclosure. Paired with a Samsung 990 PRO 2TB NVMe SSD, I’m getting excellent performance: • Read: ~2433 MB/s • Write: ~1445 MB/s These speeds confirm the cable is operating in real Thunderbolt mode, not USB-only. The short length feels solid and well-made, with stable performance and no dropouts. Highly recommended if you need full Thunderbolt speeds for external SSDs.
