Works Great. A Failure Resulted in a Free Warranty Replacement (Make sure you register) Via Chat...
My daughter came in and told me her toothbrush failed. I looked to see if I'd purchased an extended warranty, but none was available. As I looked at the $130-179 replacements, I noticed some reviews saying the Amazon warranty was only a few months--but that CVS would've sent a free replacment. I found the e-mail confirmation of registering from 27 months ago (there is a 30-month extended warranty included--at least in our case.)I contacted the chat line literally 6 minutes before closing on this Friday night--w/o much hope. Not only was "Aida Mae" impeccable in her service, but she led me through a few simple tests, and then determined that a free replacement needed to be sent out -- which was summarily-processed. There was no charge whatsoever. The tests involved de-activating the "Quick Start" feature. While the unit is charging, hold down the Power button for a few seconds until you hear a few beeps. The second test is asking whether the unit had been charged for 24 hours since the problem started (yes.) Next, I was asked to try the different cleaning modes, and to go through the 3 intensity levels--same result. Lastly, I was asked to change to a different brush head (still no different.)Like others, I've used Sonicare brushes for decades. My whole family except my 10 year-old uses them -- he has a competing, simpler brand, but will "graduate" to a Sonicare in due time. This 6100 model looks and acts identically to the 6500 models my wife and I use -- except ours came with the fancy travel case (which I've never used beyond just testing it out.) The 6100 works in the travel case, too.The sense of cleanliness is second-to-none. We use the C3 whitening heads on all of ours. Combined with a Wal-Mart pre-brush rinse, a water flosser, and Crest Clinical rinse, I get excellent dental reviews. When I use the Crest 3D White Professional Effects No Slip Whitestrips, my dental hygienist JUMPS BACK at the brilliance! This experience is based on the 6500, but I can't see any visual, mechanical, or operational difference with the 6100.

“INTENSITY SELECTION” FEATURE IS GENIUS. FINALLY!!!! Best Sonicare Toothbrush OF. ALL. TIME.
This is the best Sonicare toothbrush I’ve ever purchased in my life. I’ve been through many over the years, (about 4) mainly because I’ve left them on trips, or petty exes have taking them. However- the joke is on them, because this toothbrush is phenomenal and by FAR the most superior, even compared to the $200 versions I’ve owned in the past. Also, this is the perfect shade of neutral pink, so now it puts me in a terrific mood while brushing. I now realize I’ve had about 3/4 of my Sonicare stolen, if that’s any testament to how great of an investment the even others are. This is the first Sonicare or electric toothbrush in general that didn’t make me feel like my beautiful, healthy teeth were about to be jackhammered out of my mouth. The “intensity selection” feature is the most genius of any of upgrades they’ve made over the years to these toothbrushes. The lowest intensity setting is PERFECT: I don’t feel like I’m potentially scraping the enamel directly off of my teeth anymore. Oral-B toothbrushes have always been too weak for me, and my only issue with Sonicare was that it felt like I was taking the enamel off of my teeth because they were so intense. I would purposefully let the batteries get low on my previous Sonicare toothbrushes in the past, to lower the strength. I am so ELATED with this purchase, I almost wish I could forget that I bought it just so that I could buy it again to get that feeling all over again. Do NOT waste money on the “diamond clean” or any of the other “smart toothbrushes” that tell you when to replace the brush head or all of these other unnecessary features. This is THE perfect Sonicare toothbrush and if anything should ever happen to this one, I guarantee I will be searching on eBay 20 years from now to find this EXACT model. (Not to mention that the brush head itself that comes with this model actually fits in my narrow mouth perfectly and I can feel it brushing individual teeth and truly getting behind my bottom front teeth, instead of it feeling like a giant manicure nail cleaning brush was attached to a toothbrush base. It’s perfect, perfect, perfect and the chicest shade. Brushing my teeth is now my favorite part of my morning and going to bed! The whitening setting is amazing, the regular clean setting is amazing, the whole damn tooth brush is simply perfection. Battery life is INSANE! (In a great way!) Hopefully the Replacement brushes don’t cost as much is the toothbrush. That could be the only possible downfall I could see this because this is the first Sonicare brush head that I also thought is perfect in size, stiffness, and bristle type. Thank you Philip’s Sonicare are finally getting it correct! I was not paid for this ad, but if you wanna toss some replacement heads my way, I wouldn’t be mad! Hahaha But in seriousness, no matter what gender you are, what color you get, do NOT pass this gem of a toothbrush up. I researched for months, so I did the work for y’all. If you trust one stranger on the Internet today, make it me, and make this purchase! You will not regret it. Hopefully this helps!!

Great toothbrush. Long lasting battery
This toothbrush is great! I love it. My first experience with an electric toothbrush was an oral b one I bought at the grocery store because it was on sale. I actually really liked it and had it for years. My husband was talked into buying a different kind by our dentist after he had a root canal. He was a bit loopy so agreed to buy two of them and they were terrible. But he had already thrown our other ones out so this is what we were left with. I hated it but didn’t want to buy another one and waste the money. It died after every use. It was just the worst. I think it was called pro sys. I wouldn’t recommend them. Anyway I got off track. This Philips toothbrush is great. My teeth feel very clean after brushing. I like the different mode options, different brush head options and best of all the battery lasts so long! I went on a weekend trip with this toothbrush and didn’t bring my charger. I didn’t need it. Then I didn’t charge it for about 2 weeks after getting home and it was still working fine all that time! Finally it let me know it was time to charge it but I was impressed with how long the battery lasted. It will also alert you when it’s time to change the brush head. If you’re looking for a efficient toothbrush and not worried about apps and other bells and whistles so brushes come with this is a perfect choice.
