The Twisted Throne (The Bridge Kingdom) Paperback – April 8, 2025

The Twisted Throne is the 5th book in The Bridge Kingdom series. This one follows Princess Ahnna of Ithicana and introduces Prince James of Harendell. The book does a good job of further expanding the Bridge Kingdom universe by providing our first real look into Harendell. It's another country with twisted, backstabbing royals. Everyone is plotting to achieve their own goals, and Ahnna can't trust anyone. There is one spicy scene between James and Ahnna, and it's a slow-burn romance. The book is an interesting mix of arranged marriage, slow burn, misunderstanding, and lovers to enemies. I enjoyed it, especially the dual POV, which leads to better character development. I liked these characters better than the middle two books. This one is 5 stars!

If you’re this far into the series, you know that you follow a different set of characters of characters for each two books. I would say these might have been might most likable two from the jump. I liked learning new kingdom. I liked their chemistry. It was a fun read! I look forward to seeing what happens next!

I got the worst sleep last night because Danielle L Jensen made me stay up until 1am finishing this book.... And I'm not okay. Some books you finish and go meh, start another one immediately. Some books you finish and stare into the dark wondering why you did this to yourself... This was the latter. I don't even know when the next one will come out. That was a nearly unacceptable cliffhanger and I am wounded.This one was a bit more political and wished the romance romanced a little more before everything fell apart. But the pathos was strong and angsty and felt as brutal as the first 2 of the series.Danielle is fully an insta-buy author and this was an incredible installment to an already amazing series!

Amazing! I really loved Ahnna and James. Such a great couple. The intrigue in this was off the charts and that ending was the most cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. I cannot wait for book 6 and the conclusion.

Not my favorite of The Bridge Kingdom, but the last few chapters circled back to why this series is so great. The plot twists to the enemies to lovers to enemies to a fast-paced cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book.

Ugh! Such a perfect read! I love this author and all her books! This was such a good read! Ahnna and James made my heart stop and race so many times throughout the book! So many twists and turns and I’m sure much much more to come! I can’t wait for the next installment to come out! I’m so excited!

I loved this book as much as the first four books. I can't wait to get the next one!! Don't make us wait long...

This was by far the best book after the first book, which honestly isn’t saying that much because I disliked books 3 and four. This was essentially the same plot as book one, so that’s probably why I enjoyed it, but it does feel kind of like a copycat. My recommendation would be to read books worn into and then skip books 3 and 4 honestly.Warning- It does in on a cliffhanger.0.5 🌶️
