Have to admit it was better than I expected. The filter is one of those metal filters you can order or buy, but totally reusable and they really are easy to clean. There is no o ring on this pipe but the mouthpiece fits tightly into the bowl for some length and seems like it would last a long time this way. It was a little hard to remove the first time I had to twist and pull a little hard to get it to come apart, but after that it wasn't bad at all. Mine doesn't leak any air which is good. The heat resistance is very good as can be expected with a good walled Briar wood pipe. I was really amazed at how easy it s to blow the tar back out of the little metal filter tube and pull it out and clean it. It works really well as a filter also. This was my first experience using a metal filter and I was a little impressed with it. Those metal screens are reusable too I've been cleaning and using the same one for a week now with no issues.

Very attractive, well crafted, and includes a pipe stem brass insert that acts as a wonderful ash/spark trap. Draws are smooth and cool down to the bottom of the bowl. But be aware. This pipe is small. Very small. A great traveling pipe and/or when you want to have a quick smoke without the bother of a full size pipe. But it is small. Very small. Requires frequent cleaning. Not necessarily criticisms of the pipe, but something one should be aware of.

The product it self is great. Love the pouch it comes with. The pipe is wonderful. Shipping was a different story. If you can't manage to fulfill prime 2 day shipping, dont offer it. Not sure if it's the seller's fault or amazon but took longer than it should have, but overall super happy with it! Love there is a magnet to hold the tabacco pouch in the bag!

Surprisingly small, petite pipe, comfortable in my hand. First time smoking: Draws well, doesn't heat too much. Came with a metal filter, I used it this time but think I'll pass on the next smoking. All and all it's a good value for money.

What a mistake it was to spend $29 on this woefully cheap product!! Seriously, it’s a waste of good money. I will begin by saying the only nice thing I can muster: the pipe LOOKS nice. But as the old saying goes, looks can be deceiving. I’m honestly shocked that some people are giving this set 5 stars. (I hope they’ll come back after attempting to smoke that cheap pipe and revise their reviews!) The metal-looking case and ALL the accessories look and feel like cheap toys. It’s practically comical: the cardboard lid that serves as a cover for a compartment in the metal-looking case does NOT close at all b/c it’s far too big for the compartment it’s supposed to cover! And the wooden pipe holder? It won’t even hold the pipe properly; the pipe keeps falling off. Perhaps these problems are due to poor quality-control issues and others have received much better sets. Perhaps. All I know is I won’t be buying from this company again. My pipe set—which I bought to give a friend as a starter-set gift—was a $29 joke. I’m just glad I still had time to make my own pipe starter-set for him from “scratch.” Yes, it cost me more than $29 to buy everything separately. But at least I can sleep knowing that his “made-to-order” pipe set is high quality, dependable, and safe (safe as far as the pipe is concerned).
