ThermaCare Portable Heating Pad

Bought these after a golf accident gone wrong that caused acute lumbar scoliosis of my spine. With a crooked spine, I have weeks of PT to get it back in alignment, and these wraps have been INCREDIBLE.The package says it stays hot for 8 hours, but it stays warm much longer. I've worn these during the day and at night. Haven't felt that it ever got so hot it would burn me, and I'm always putting them directly on my back.I've worn them under dress pants, and a pantsuit and was visibly not noticeable at all. They work great under high waist leggings or compression shorts too, those really keep it in place.Size wise, I'm no skinny mini, (5'10", 180) and these fit, but are a little snug (as it should be though). Anyone smaller these would fit fine, anyone larger it may be hard to get it fully around your frontside and the adhesion piece to stay long term with movements.Customer for life on these. Will wear during my healing process, and likely when I get back out on the golf course again, and maybe even on airplanes, etc. Will always have these on hand for heat pain relief!

I purchased these because we are going on a cruise and heating pads are prohibited. I have an extensive history of back and neck problems (got some titanium hardware in there) and was concerned to not have a heat source. I know some of the reviews were mixed, but I figured it was worth a shot. Yes! They do get hot. As hot as the highest setting on my heating pad? No, but enough to be soothing and provide relief. The plane ride did me no favors and I am just now trying the back wrap and grateful I went with the purchase! I didn’t realize they were really a “wrap”. You place it on the area and wrap it around your body and it Velcro’s. It looks like there are different sizes. If you are a heavier person you may want to only purchase one set to ensure they fit. I’m a plus size woman and it fits comfortably, but not a whole lot more to spare. I purchased the L-XL size. I actually prefer the back wrap to the neck version that has tape. The tape IS very sticky and it’s rather stiff not making it entirely comfortable to wear, but at night I’d just place it where I want it.

I love this thermacare product, really gives lasting relief. However, this is a great deal, but I have had problems every single time with at least a few of the patches not working. This has happened in smaller boxes, more years ago it would happen often. One would work and the other one wouldn't.I have no longer found that problem with the smaller boxes these last few years. But the few times I have purchased it this way in the big box I always inevitably have one or a few not work. What a bummer they are quite expensive but they are very useful. Thank you thermacare for giving me a non-drug option to deal with pain.I hope the next box I ordered does not have the same problem but I will let you know

It's missing the 1 and main reason I made this purchase. The picture is on the shoulders and details state there's 1 neck wrap in addition to 8 back. I only received 8 lower back. I guess I'll try and make that work too but very misleading and incomplete. Otherwise I know this is good stuff which is why I was looking for it and wish my order was right. EDITING this review; I reached out to customer service and being totally taken care of!! If this happens to you, don't panic.

I purchase these to wear while I'm at work. Some days my back has Extremely uncomfortable pain related to herniated disks.. I am a nurse and I work in the ICU. I do a lot of heavy lifting. I try to maintain good posture and use my coworkers to help lift heavy patience. Nurses generally have bad backs. I wear this when I'm having a bad back day. It is very soothing and it lasts for 12 hours. I keep an extra One in my locker just in case I need it. It has come in handy on more than one occasion. I don't ever want to be without these, Especially when I cannot rest on a heating pad and I need the relief.

Like so many others, I bought a bad batch of Thermacare patches about a year ago. I was not happy given how expensive they are, and I had TWO boxes. I gave up on the brand a while because the customer service at the owning company was horrendous and I felt they did not care about their consumers. I have chronic back pain, so when I was having difficulty and out of heat patches, I thought I'd give it one more try. I was desperate. I'm so glad I did! THEY WORK AGAIN!!! These are back!! Thank you!

We love all of their products but especially this one. There are always packs of these in our linen closet and our cars. They are wonderful for when you've overdone it and need heat relief for sore muscles, but I use them just as much before going out for a full day of yard work or kayaking to keep my back loose. I love that there is nothing but heat....no drugs, no chemicals, just the comfort and benefit of heat.

I ordered these almost 2 years ago and the expiration on the packages is January 2021. I used one last week that never got hot (that was January 2021) and I thought it was a fluke. I used another the next day and it also did not heat. Today (one week after expiration) I tried another - same problem, no heat. So I threw money away on this purchase. Generally I like these pads for low back pain but these expired before the expiration date.
