painful testicles, waterworks all amok
Works! I was about to go back to the doctors and opt for the usual batch of antibiotics, but after doing a lot of research into E coli infections of the bladder and kidneys, took a chance that this might actually work. Well, a week later and my infection appears to have gone, my kidneys are functioning normally again. I was in a fair bit of discomfort with all the classic symptoms of a kidney infection, gut ache, painful testicles, waterworks all amok, and a pain in my right side kidney, like someone had punched me in the lower back; feverish: essentially the exact symptoms I explained to my doctor and those described on the NHS website. The doctor wanted to do blood tests and an CT scan, but my instincts told me to hold off and try a detox approach. I bought a blender and started shoving veg, fruit and probiotic yoghurt down my neck, along with CCola (phosphoric acid). At first this seemed to work, but a week later, it all started again. I then did further research to find out about D-Mannose and after a few days of detox plus a tablet morning afternoon and evening, was feeling a lot more like my usual self. I've managed to have my first beer of the week and will be taking it easy for a while longer until I'm sure I'm all clearI also bought a set of litmus test strips and after two tests my urine was clear of blood spotting, which the doctor had seen during my initial visit. Antibiotics are a waste of time for E coli it would appear; they only knock back one strain of E coli, but the cunning little critters bury themselves in your system and just wait until you are badly dehydrated and stressed; as I was over the long winter break. I was eating fatty foods, curry's, salt & vinegar pringles, and lot's of salty (de-stressing) foods and having a pint of homebrew every night. E coli just waits until your body is at a low ebb, and then pounces with a vengeance. Antibiotics will kill E coli, but they then mutate and hide until the next time: each recurrence will get worse, with each bout of antibiotics! So the only way to really effectively treat E coli is to flush them out using WD-M. You're really playing a fishing game with this product, by tricking the E Coli to release itself from the wall's of the urethra and get them to bind to the free WD-M what waterfalls through your system. You then just pee them out down the loo

Amazing! Saved me from 3rd lot of Antibiotics
I have never reviewed anything before, but felt I needed to after the help these tablets have given me! I have suffered with UTI's for a long time, and recently had 2 lots of antibiotics in a month. I was on track for a third course (which I really didn't want to have) but before I got an appointment at the doctors, I was recommended these by the lady who works in our local health shop. I'm so glad she did as these are truly a lifesaver! These are so quick and effective for me and save me from taking antibiotics. At the moment I am just taking them as a preventative so one at night and before and after sex, and this seems to be keeping any UTI's at bay. However when I had the 3rd infection, at first I didn't know how to use them properly, to get rid of the infection. Be prepared that you will probably go through a whole pack to get rid of a bad one. I took two at first with a small amount of water, then an hour later I would drink a large drink. Then an hour later I would go to the loo and take one tablet, again with a small amount of water, and then an hour later have a big drink. And then an hour later go to the loo again and another tablet and so on until the infection had cleared. It was only by taking it this way it worked. Before hand, I was taking it every 3 hours with a small amount of water and it wasn't working; I think because I wasn't keeping hydrated enough. The idea is to take them with a small amount of water at first so they are not too diluted in the bladder but then to have a drink later to make sure you are still drinking enough.Just thought I would describe how I got them to work for me, as it was frustrating at first going through a whole packet with it not removing the infection properly! It's also worth noting that you should carry on taking the tablets for a few days after the infection has cleared just to be sure it has gone, then you can just take it as a preventative!!

Amazing
I really feel compelled to write a review on this product - after having cystitis for a number of years most of the time being able to cure it myself but occasionally having antibiotics - I suffered with a UTI that was not responding to antibiotics and this one felt different - even after having a negative culture back from the docs that there was no infection I was getting really worried that I was suffering something worse. The docs still felt there was an infection - I was at my wits end after a month of not sleeping, frequent urination and horrible tight feeling on my bladder but no burning on urination. I researched the internet and read about d'mannose - I ordered the tablets and they came the next day I took them straight away and felt slight relief, but at night it came back with vengeance so gave up on d'mannose I was skeptical anyway. After another 4 days I decided to try it again, I took large doses 3 tablet at a time every few hours for the first day and one at night - next day same again - by then was feeling so much better. Third night I slept for the first time in a month and by the third very very minor symptoms. I don't know if this is going to work long term but the relief for now is fantastic. I feel that I had a very stubborn UTI so it may take a bit of time to be symptom free but for now d'mannose is working a treat.

time will tell
I was advised to take these by my physio to help with UTI , initially I took 18 a day and now down to 3 a day , I am not sure if they are working only time will tell as I am using them as a preventative measurethey are expensive and other cheaper alternatives are available , they are large tablets ,no taste , well packaged , time will tell if they work
