I bought this book to improve my German, after already having read all the series in English. I already have read also the previous 3 books in the series in German. If you are learning this language, I would recommend these books, because the vocabulary is not too difficult, and her writing style is very engaging; you don't need to have previously read it in your own language before reading it in German. I think that if you have a sound B2 level, this book is for you.

Wer hätte gedacht, daß in unserer Zeit des Fast Food und Media Hype noch einmal ein Klassiker in der Tradition von Otfried Preußlers "Krabat" oder J.R.R. Tolkiens "Der Herr der Ringe" geschrieben würde. J.K. Rowling ist genau das gelungen: ihre "Harry Potter"-Bücher sind voller Phantasie, Spannung und Humor. Der Medienrummel ist zwar mittlerweile gewaltig, aber die Qualität von Rowlings Büchern hält dem locker Stand. In unserer Familie wird jeder "Harry Potter" vom Enkel (12 Jahre) bis zur Oma (70 Jahre) leidenschaftlich verschlungen und das sogar im Original auf Englisch! Thank you, J.K.!

Compared to some of the other titles in this series by R beck I think he seems to narrate rather faster in some of passages ,which I find difficult to follow as a learner of german.The quality of the tapes is good and perhaps if my german improves the faster pace may be beneficial but if you are wanting a slower pace I think others in the series have a slower narrative pace.As a learner I find some of his character voices very difficult to follow especially Hagrid and Dumbledore.Still I enjoy the challenge of these tapes as a language learnig tool.

J'ai commandé tous les livres Harry Potter en allemand, d'occasion, pour perfectionner mon niveau de langue. J'ai reçu les produits en très bon état, livrés dans les temps ! Je n'ai rien d'autre à ajouter, j'ai été satisfaite de ma commande ! J'ai commandé tous les livres en même temps, chez le même vendeur. Ce qui explique la similitude de mes commentaires sur plusieurs ouvrages. Cela n'enlève rien à ma satisfaction. J'ai été ravie de mon expérience, même si j'appréhendais l'achat de livres d'occasion.

I have been ordering the Harry Potter books in German for some American friends who spent many years in Germany. Not speaking or reading German myself, I have to rely on my friends about the quality of the translation. They think it is great. What more can I say.
