This book is an amazing tool to help navigate through life issues. Obviously the bible has the answers but this book helps as well. It is a great book for pastors, counselors, life group leaders and so on. I definitely recommend this book. I give it a 👍!

I'm chaplain at our local jail and find this guide very helpful when dealing with the kind of problems that get thrown at me. Each section focuses on a problem, like Grief and Loss, Fear and Anxiety, Addiction, etc. and gives a surprisingly thorough, though brief, rundown on the features of each problem, definitions, symptoms, statistics, questions to ask, action steps, helpful Biblical verses, prayer starter and further reading. The authors also make it very clear when the person should be referred to a professional, such as when he or she expresses suicidal ideation. This is no substitute for a course in psychology nor does it make one an adequate counselor without additional training but it is very useful for pastors, who are often the first persons their parishioners go to when suffering from a psychological problem. This is ideal as a way to prepare to be a kind of "first responder" in an emotional or psychological crisis.

Very helpful as I developed a workshop. It was well organized by topics and then provides biblical support for each topic. It provides guides that you can use as you navigate each topic. Helpful!

I absolutely loved this book and all the books by Dr. Tim Clinton and Dr. Ron Hawkins. They both are great authors and share fundamental wisdom. The book explains how we can become effective Christian Counselor's and listen effectively. I thought this book covered all the issues we face in the world today and how to help those effected by these problems through Christian guidance. I would highly recommend the book and any books written by these authors. Thank you!

The assessments are supurb in helping to ask client personalized intimate questions. The book is excellent I I would recommend it to anyone in Mental Health field.
