Affordable answer to our horrible tasting tap water
We use these with food grade 5 gallon buckets to filter our nasty tasting tap water. We run about 7 gallons a week through it, and each filter lasts for about 4 months before we have to replace it - so it's only costing $10 a month or about 33¢ per gallon, Which is MUCH cheaper than buying bottled water, or spend hundreds of dollars for a built in system!

These work really well to remove chlorine taste and smell. I can't say if it removes anything else as that's all we have in our rural municipal water system. Have been using these for 2 years now and will continue to buy. We set up a bucket system in the laundry room and use that for cooking and drinking, and installed shower head filters in both bathrooms. We have used foreign-made filters in the past (not from Amazon) and they worked well too, but sometimes we would receive one cracked and have to toss it. Be sure to open all packages and check for breakage, just in case. Made in America---BIG PLUS!
