accurate and fast
bought this for my Wollemi Pine that needs acidic soil that is slightly more acidic than the brands of soil you get at local garden centres. It comes with no test solutions so you have to get those and you need to (acidic and alkaline). The device performs well when calibrated and i was able to test the different soils i bought to find the right one.pros1) accurate2) doesn't take long to samplecons1) cleaning -but that's to be expected2) you need to buy calibration solutions - i wished they added small bottles of it given the price point3) price - but it is accurate and more so than cheaper brands

the product itself is good however doesn't state whether it is calibrated on arrival, on instructions it states: to calibrate but doesn't come with solution, so will need to be purchased separately.

Useless soil ph pen
Only used this a few times to check the ph of my soil. My first pen lasted a few months before I got an error message while trying to calibrate with ph solution of 4. It would not calibrate, no support from Bluelab which was of any use. The pen was eventually replaced but the same error happened just after the first year of warranty had run out.This is a waste of money I would advise to look for an alternative

Bluelab seems to make good quality products. My EC pen has worked well for over a year now. It has remained accurate.

Buying these separately cost about $40-60 more. I found the initial calibration to be very easy ( don’t forget to soak the PH pen in the storage solution prior to calibration!!) and accurate. These two meters will be used regularly and I have confidence in their readings. I recommend do to the price point and value. Low price, high quality, fast readings

Följande information framgår inte på Amazon-sidan alls men står i en finstilt text på tillverkarens hemsida:"Bluelab's pH products are charged with reference material which expends over time and use. The average life span of a pH pen is approximately 18 months."2000 kronor för något som inte kan användas nästa säsong? Tror de flesta skulle nöja sig med PH-papper om detta ärligt redovisades före köp.Min mätare höll dock inte ens för ett första test så jag slipper nog ur det här genom att returnera den som en garantivara. Tur i oturen. Som framgår av bilderna varierar avläsningen på samma ställe i jordhögen med 0,6 punkter och är olika vid alla tre mätningar. Jag har ingen aning om huruvida PH ligger inom intervallet som visas, men produkten visar inkonsekvent avläsning med 0,6 punkter och påstås ha en exakthet på 0,1 punkter, vilket alltså inte stämmer.
