The pocket radar is the perfect size to take wherever you may need it. It also came with a weatherproof box that was small enough to fit in my son's bat bag. It was very easy to use and gave accurate numbers. We tried it from behind and in front of our son, who is a pitcher, and got the same feedback. The digital display was large enough to read the numbers easily, and it will store data if you choose to use that feature. It does not work with the app, and the box clearly states there is a newer model that is compatible with the app. This did not bother us as we did not care if it worked with an app, and again, it stores information for you so we did not find the app was necessary. We have used it a handful of times at this point, and feel it is a good quality It is light and overall a good value for the money. I would recommend it unless you are set on using it with the app.

I’ve been eyeing the pocket radar for a while now and saw it was on sale so I decided to get it. I pick this one with a case because it was actually about $10 cheaper than the one with only the device. I am extremely happy with it. I use it to get velo on my teams bullpen sessions and it sometimes gets exit velos during BP. It’s definitely worth it. As for the case, I don’t use it. The device comes with a nice case already.

Works well for both speed of ball coming off the bat and for pitching. We keep track of how many pitches are thrown, how many are balls and strikes, and what pitched
