Totally Recommend
Bought this to house a redundant 2230 SSD that was taken from my Ally's upgrade work. Works instantly without any effort. Just format the drive and it works. I like the design of its heat sink. It passes thought the case and provide sufficient cooling with minimum footprint, which balance the thermal performance and weight quite well. Speed tested at 900MB/s and meets the 10Gbps advertised speed. Also tested working with Apple iPhone's ProMotion Log video, recorded at 4K 60fps without any issue. Definitely recommend it if you have a spare 2230 SSD, or you need iPhone's ProMotion for a budget solution.

Nice Design, But Speed Could Be Better
The ORICO M.2 2230 NVMe SSD Enclosure has a sleek and well-built design, making it a great option for those looking to use an M.2 SSD externally. Setup is simple, and it works well with devices like the iPhone 15 Pro Max for ProRes recording. Pros: • Stylish & Compact Design: Feels premium and is easy to carry. • Good Compatibility: Works with a variety of M.2 NVMe SSDs. • Easy to Use: Plug-and-play setup with no hassle. Cons: • Not the Fastest Speeds: While advertised as 10Gbps, real-world performance feels a bit slower than expected. Overall, it’s a well-designed and functional SSD enclosure, but the speed could be improved for better performance.

Cracking little drive caddy
Great little drive caddy. Popped in a spare 512gb m.2 and now have fast compact storage. Well worth putting the heat pads on as the drive does get warm under longer transfers but has never had any negative effect

Exactly what I ordered.
Worked fine

Seems ok, overheats for 15GB+ transfers
Works fine, I get 950MB/c read and writes in a benchmark test (and 675MB when I copied a 12GB file across). When I tried a benchmark larger than 15GB, the heatsink gets saturated with too much heat and speeds reduce down to 127MB/s. A good drive if those limits aren't an issue for your usage.

HIgh Speed
This NVMe SSD enclosure connects a high-speed NVMe solid-state drive to your computer via USB, enabling you to use it as a portable external storage device. This enclosure is designed to be small and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The aluminium heatsink provides excellent heat dissipation and protects the SSD from physical damage. These enclosures feature a tool-free design, allowing you to install an NVMe SSD in seconds without any tools. High-Speed Transfer: NVMe enclosures support high-speed data transfer via USB 3.1, allowing you to transfer large files quickly.

Compact and Portable 2230 Caddy
Nice and compact caddy. Easy to slip into my laptop bag and to use up some of the 2230 I seem to have started hoarding (I have no idea where they keep coming from 🤷🏻♂️)

La memoria riscalda moltissimo quando viene usata. Una volta mi è andata pure in crask, meno male che avevo fatto un back up del suo contenuto.
