Outdoor Products H20 Performance Hydration Pack

Bought this for my son for our first big hike together, an 11-mile day hike. It was perfect for him, keeping him hydrated on the way without having to stop. It appears to be well-made based on what we've experienced so far. The bladder is easy to get in and out of the pack. This is the best value we saw for a simple 2L hydration bladder on Amazon, and we were not disappointed by its performance. It's especially nice on this model that the mouthpiece can be unscrewed for cleaning. We thoroughly cleaned the item upon unpacking it using baking soda and water and the set of Platypus cleaning brushes. We rinsed it out well and dried it as well as we could, then rolled it up and put it in a bag in the freezer to keep it from getting mildew (once you take it out of the freezer, just run a little warm water over it and it's ready to go). Once on the hike, I asked my son if it had any plastic-like taste and he said it did not at all, and we refilled midway through our hike and he said that water tasted just fine too. We repeated the cleaning cycle upon returning home. I was impressed with how well the bag held up with my son's less-than-thoughtful treatment of it and how stylish it looks. This was definitely a good purchase and I highly recommend.

So I am no pro when choosing a hydration pack but I really needed one for an event I'll be attending in may called Electric Daisy Carnival in New York. As some may or may not know going to a rave or a music festival can be very hot and sweaty with the mix of the weather and people. I decided that this year I'll purchase a hydration pack and this for sure is a decently good hydration pack - in my opinion. I haven't tried any other ones but this one was at a very good price and slim enough for it not to look like I was a turtle. Also I don't know what people are fussing about not being able to get the water out easily but I don't have to bite down that hard to drink - I just bite with my two front teeth (the middle of my mouth if that makes sense?).The only downside while looking for a hydration pack was the lack of storage space. There are no pockets! HOWEVER I figured out a way that you can put things inside! I've been to EDC NY last year and after attending several other events after, I've come to realization that I don't need to carry certain items nor do I want to carry them haha. After filling the bladder up, I just put my iPhone 5, portable charger (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005K7192G/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), drivers license, debit card, cash and a carmax chapstick all in a ziploc bag then place it outside of the bladder. IT ALL FITS! Just tuck the ziploc bag of items inside either on the side or right on top whichever feels comfortable for it not to look bulky. I put my items towards the side so that it was slightly under the velcro flaps (which are a nice feature).Overall I really would recommend this to someone who needs a "go to" hydration pack for a first timer.PROS:- Slim- Super easy to take the bladder in/out- Light- Mesh straps are a real good idea, breathable- No leaks- Easy adjustable strapsCONS:- No storage space (Read my second paragraph to fix that situation)P.S. I jumped and danced around for awhile with it on (with water inside) to see how comfortable it is and it barely moved. As long as you adjust the arm/chest straps to your liking. I love it! Also I don't know if this happens to other people at music festivals but if someone comes up to when they really need water, all you have to do is point the nozzle downwards and pinch down and water will easily come out (so they don't need to put their mouth on it - ew germs).P.S.S. If you aren't a fan of the nozzle tube, you can easily switch it with a new one. Luckily my brother in law has one that has a cover and simply took it off and put it on my bite valve which fit perfectly so I didn't have to go looking for a new nozzle tube.

I debated long and hard before buying this. I didn't want it to be another one of those things were I bought the inexpensive knock off brand and it didn't live up to the expectations. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this.... That was 7 years ago! This has lived up to my expectations and has been put to good use on hikes, runs, and bike rides. I did end up replacing the bladder that came with it, but I also didn't exactly take the best care of it and clean it out after each use. It is fairly comfortable and it's size makes it seem like no weight is added, but it has enough room to store enough liquid for the days activities. It is definitely worth the purchase and will last you a long time.

I'm a pretty serious marathoner who trains year round in Wisconsin, so I hit about all weather you can imagine and expect a lot from my equipment. I've had this pack for about half a year now and taken it on numerous 2hr-plus runs, and am quite satisfied.It fits with both heavy jackets and tank tops, it works in the cold, it doesn't drip, you can drink while still running fast, it goes through the washing machine, it doesn't chafe, it's relatively easy to clean. I wish it had a few pockets and you have to suck pretty hard to get the water out, and it does bounce a bit when totally full, but honestly I forget I'm wearing it after a couple miles.If you're just going off price, this should be 6 stars. Amazing deal.

This pack worked fantastic for me on a 1,100 mile motorbike trip at speeds up to 90mph and some temps into the 90's! I began my trip with the 2L pouch frozen. It was nice to have cold water on the hot ride! As long as your freezer isn't below about 28 degrees, you won't do any damage to the water bag.People who complain about the bite vale are probably either used to a 90 degree valve OR more likely they did not have the tube inserted correctly in the quick release ring at the bottom of the bag, (it works like a standard air line connection to an air compressor). Just give it a pull after connecting it, to see if it is working correctly before you start your activity.Awesome value, for a well made product. The carrying bag DOES NOT HAVE any storage capacity.

bag is great, haven't had the chance to use it yet, but at first inspection it holds up really well, and is a convenient size, seems sturdy - i plan to take it on vacay in a few weeks so i dont have to carry around my drinks when on excursions. as for delivery - everything went smoothly and came as promised which is always appreciated. i would recommend getting this bag from this seller anytime.

Compre el articulo mas por su uso como mochila, esta perfecta y de un tamaño exacto para llevar un ipad mini y cargador portatil ademas de sus respectivos cables, la funcion de velcro al interior ayuda para cuando transportas algo extra a la bolsa de hidratacion, las correas ajustan perfecto y realmente no sientes que llevas cargando algo detras, el unico detalle que le encontre es que la tira al frente en la parte inferior que divide la parte azul de la parte gris es reflejante lo cual es un punto adicional :D, el problema esta que con mucho uso llega a rasparse un poco pero no afecta para nada la seguridad de lo que llevas dentro, solo es estetico... cuando se me acabe esta mochila sin duda comprare otra igual :)

Awesome day hike pack! It's portable, small, light weight and doesn't get in the way of hiking/climbing/jogging. Worked wonderfully on a 1.5-2 hour, 5KM hike.

Bought this for $30. works well. Doesnt really leak. although the bottom of the bag would feel wet after refilling. mouth piece allows decent water to come out for drinking. But i find the ones from camelbak to be a lot better.
