Great choice for either helicopter
I just purchased the military helicopter. I really like the way it handles. The 2 batteries charge faster than most of my other helicopters. The battery needs to be put in, then push forward to lock in place. Follow instructions for calibration.this helicopter has 2 speeds and the controls reflect the difference. The 1st speed is slow, but this will give you a chance to learn to control it. Very happy with my purchase. The graphics are really good too.

Great helicopter and service!
The media could not be loaded. The helicopter is great. You put the battery in after charging it with provided USB cord, push the switch on the side from 0 to 1 to turn it on. It has flashing red and blue lights. You put batteries in the controller and turn it on by pushing the middle button which turns red. You push the left stick up then down on the controller to pair it with the helicopter. It will beep. The top left button makes the helicopter fly straight up and hover in place. The button below that makes it land. The third button controls the flashing lights. The fourth button controls the speed. One push and beep for slow and another push with two beeps for fast. The other buttons on the right control the trim if the helicopter is turning around by itself. We didn't have to use those buttons. The left stick controls the altitude ie up and down. The right stick turns it left, right and makes it go forward and backwards. It flies wonderfully. We got 30mins out of it indoors (slow speed) and 20mins outdoors (fast speed). We were excited it came with two batteries so there wouldn't be any downtime. We charged the first battery no issues. It will show a red light when charging and turn off when fully charged. Don't leave it charging after per recommendations but manufacturer. Unfortunately the second battery never charged and wouldn't work. At first we thought it came charged but no it was dead on arrival. However, we reached out to support to get a new battery and not only did they offer a new battery but sent a new helicopter and accessories!!! We truly appreciate the service, support and follow up we received. Check out the pics and video.

I would think twice-check reviews 1st
This was my experience, ok received item nicely packaged in box, opened box all parts batteries an helicopter included great so far, charged both batteries w/the cable USB charging port took about an hr. Each battery, pretty hard to insert in helicopter an harder to pull out, ok installed battery in helicopter now, an 3 AAA, batteries in receiver for helicopter now read the instructions to pair, hdrei where I experienced the issue it say to slide to switch to helicopter to on position an there should be a light, guess what no light so it would not pair to helicopter, so I called the 1-877________# and around 1900 hrs. mtn. Stand. Time, someone answered but couldn't really understand language broken English asked me for Amazon order #. Thenmy e- mail address, got a message saying she received the e- mail and she told me I would receive another e- mail about something I could not understand her, so waited like she said about 15 min. To get the new e-mail but never received that e-mail, that's when I decided to go to Amazon an do an immediate return the next day, went to the UPS store got my receipt an came home chkd. My phone an plkg. In transit refunded great I love Amazon they couldn't be better or easier, good thing it had a 30 day return policy on this item, so at this point I'm not only amazed but extremely happy Amazon couldn't be better, but helicopter real failure oh I did chk the batteries w/ my volt meter an the voltage was 4.3v. batteries were good both. So it must have been the circuit board in helicopter, most reviews were saying bad batteries an great customer svc. In my opinion not in this case so buyer beware, just my experience I wanted to share with other wanting to buy this product good luck,

Plastic cog in motor broke off teeth, preventing copter from flying.
The good:First of all, IT HAS REPLACEABLE BATTERIES and COMES with 2!!!!! This heli is awesome, flies great and is very stable. The 2.4ghz controller means that you can fly it very far and in a no wind day, you can fly it outside. The range is farther than you can see, line of sight! This helicopter has a built in inertial sensor that makes it ultra stable. When it's hovering, if you spin the helicopter around with your finger, it corrects itself back, looking to the position it was previously looking before being disturbed. It also returns to the height it was hovering at if moved down by a ceiling fan air or if you push it up with your hand while it is hovering. All this without any input from the controller, wow!!! This is makes it a very friendly heli to fly.The BAD:The helicopter I received was not durable at all. On the first crash, the propeller hit the table leg and it was uncontrollable and didn't hover correctly anymore. Upon further inspection, I found that one of the plastic gears from one of the motors had teeth missing. This prevented the bottom propeller from properly spinning at the correct speed, causing the copter to spin and not hover nor climb. Look at the pictures to see what I mean. In one of the pictures, I'm pointing to the defective plastic cog with a screwdriver and then I show them on a black background so you can see it better. Before you ask, no... the helicopter wasn't abused as you can clearly see in the condition of the plastic shell and propellers. It is ironic that the copter even comes with extra blades in case they are damaged in a crash, but the weakest link in my case was the plastic motor cog which cannot be user-replaced. I requested amazon exchange my item for another of the same ones. Let's see if this was a fluke and hopefully my new one lasts more than a few minutes. I'll update this review once I receive the new helicopter and test that one out.The UGLY---EDIT below---Ok so I got a new one. The same thing happened. Since I still haven't returned the first one, I was able to take the good plastic gear from the first one and replace it on the second one. Now it flies and works as it should. DEERC, if you read this, please include these plastic cogs in the bag of spare parts! It will solve this issue and save you money by people fixing their own helicopters instead of returning them. That or you could simply use a better polymer plastic for these small gears since in a crash, it's evident that they receive the most stress when spinning at a high RPM and then abruptly stopped. Please fix this issue and you will have the BEST RC heli out there!
