Samsonite Foldaway Duffle Bag, State Blue, Slate Blue, Foldaway Duffle

This bag seems well made and sturdy, although folded up it is very bulky and heavy. Since I was planning on packing it as an extra bag for the inevitable souvenirs purchased on my travels, it won't work for my purposes. I chose a competitor's bag that was half the weight and bulk. If you are not planning to use it for similar purposes, this bag is super roomy and will easily hold a weekend's worth of clothes. I like the shoulder strap, and it was easy to fold up and get back in the carrying case. I would be wary of using it as checked baggage, though, due to the thin nature of the material.

Very nice. Good quality. Pack it folded up, then fill it for your return trip. Use it as your personal item when flying. Good colors, men can carry it without it looking like a purse. We got the army green and it is nicer than army green!

Holds decent weight, convenient to fold and store, cheaper than the REI version

This is a very nice, sturdy bag with more room than it looks. We used it for an international trip. It is not waterproof. The bag held up well, but it got wet and stained during the luggage handling. I haven’t found any information about cleaning it, but I’m going to try and clean it and then spray it with a waterproofing agent.

I used the bag twice as hand luggage - using it with care. The bag tore open on one of the seams. It only had a few lightweight items in the bag - nothing had sharp edges. I am unable to return it as I only started using it after the return window was closed.
