These work! I can hear so much more now!These have 5 built in environmental settings. I use "Restaurant" for situations where there is a lot of background noise. The noise cancelation works well. The dual microphones allow it to switch so you hear what is in front of you.The default setting gives you 360 degree hearing. You can take a hearing test in the app and then send it to the audiologist. I got my reply in 12 hours with a custom setting downloaded to the app just for my individual hearing loss. I had set the tone setting too low, and the amplification too high when I was trying to do it myself.The one thing that the hearing aids that cost 10 times more have is the ability to set the amplification for a number of frequency ranges, some 12 some 40 ranges. This hearing aid only has a tone setting where you can boost lower or upper (base or treble, low or high frequencies). Most of my hearing loss is in the low frequencies, but then I also have some in the very high frequency loss. I can correct for the low, but not both at the same time.Battery lasts about one full day. Phone calls and listening to music on my phone works great.I'm so glad I have these!

First time H.A. user. Received the Elehear hearing aids two weeks ago. Before purchasing I did extensive research in over the counter and prescription H.A. Many may not be aware but OTC (over the counter) H.A. have been available to the general public since 2021. I read all reviews positive and negative on the Elehear Beyond H.A. The Beyond version has only been available since Fall '24. I purchased Beyond because of the A.I. and digital enhancement. Before purchasing I had a professional hearing test by an Audiologist and had minor to moderate hearing loss. I received an audiogram and visited one Hearing Aid provider. Even though I am retired I did not have insurance that would cover any portion of H.A. expense. My sister who has H.A. purchased a national recognized brand that costs over $5K. I did not feel my hearing required that expenditure. I tried her prescription Hearing aid and it was no better than the Elehear. After purchasing the Elehear Beyond H.A. my advice is to follow the instructions carefully and do as instructed. Even though I had just visited and Audiologist I took the Audio exam offered by Elehear. Remarkedly, my test conducted from Elehear almost mimicked the Audiologist test with the similar result. I have tested the Elehear product and utilized suggested settings by their audiologist. I can say without a doubt the Elehear H.A. is as good as the prescription H.A. costing thousands. I have used multiple settings and have several that I prefer. Several users complained about Elehear's customer service. I have not had issues as any questions I had were answered within 24hrs. Others mentioned the H.A. do not hold a suitable charge. Once again I have used mine for 8 hours or more with still 20% reserve available. FWIW, Several national reviews done earlier this year have the Beyond rated in the top five of H.A. providers. Follow the instructions provided and you should not have any issues. For those undecided, Elehear offers a one year warranty...

============Update April 24The receiver tube was the #2 but was uncomfortable for me. I emailed support and they replied promptly and sent out the longer #3 which arrived a few days later. Very good service.Speech sounds fine, but a pure tone, like the microwave beeping or a note from a piano, is distorted. What seems to be happening is that a fraction of a second after the tone begins to sound there is a distorted echo of the tone.This means that listening to most music, either live or through speakers, is useless. The hearing aid can be connected via bluetooth to my cellphone or computer and music played from them. That sounds fine.If I were more of a music lover I would return the hearing aids, but as it is, I am just changing the rating from 5 stars to 4.I have always had a hard time with the tinny sound of my cell phone but when playing a call through the hearing aid I can hear every nuance of the caller’s speech.============Original ReviewThe app connected well and stayed connected allowing precise control of each function.Volume: from 0 to ear-splitting. very preciseNoise control: it got rid of some of the noise in the supermarket but did nothing for the car’s engine and road noise. If the volume is set very high, there are a few nulls as I turn from facing a motor noise. The nulls are scattershot and not very deep. At normal volume I can hear no difference.It was easy to get to the page to download a recent update.Making and receiving calls over the cellphone piped them through the hearing aid and the person on the other end could hear me clearly even though I was speaking at the air.The remote phone thing worked. I left the phone near my wife and got out of earshot but could hear her and she could hear me.These aids are 4.75 grams vs 4 grams for the ones I have been wearing for the past year. They feel just as comfortable as the previous aids. I have no problem putting on and taking off my glasses.As I continue to use these I may find better settings for tuning them and will update the review.

Although my hearing was only diminished at higher frequencies, I was told that hearing aids might help with my profound tinnitus. Specifically, these hearing aids transmit a variety of background sounds that the user can select that, for me, effectively masks the tinnitus. There are also multiple other options with the app that allows you to modify and customize your aids via Bluetooth. Coincidentally, the Bluetooth also lets you listen to broadcasts from your phone and listen to phone calls. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from the company to ask how I was doing with my hearing aids and subsequently answered a number of questions.
